The Final Battle
Chapter 1:Aftermath of Ganon
The following takes place in Ocarina of Time, AFTER the fall of GANON and BEFORE the Master Sword was returned.
Having slain GANON and saving Zelda, Link believed his quest was over, little did he know that The Seal of the Six Sages would not last forever. Link was walking back to the Temple of Time to return the Master Sword back to its pedestal located within. A thought then it popped into his mind "Wait a second, my quest may be complete, and I must return back to my original time, but who said I have to do it NOW?" He then looked up at the blue flying orb-shaped fairy floating above him. He asked "Hey Navi, want to have some fun?"
"What do you have in mind?" The fairy responded.
"I was thinking..."
She cut him off "Well that's a first"
"Shut up! Stupid flying light bulb! Anyway I was thinking we stay around, until people find out that King Dragmire has fallen, and that Princess Zelda is back."
"What good will that do?" Navi asked.
"Ah Navi so smart yet so dumb."He shook his head "If people learn that the DARK King has fallen, and the RIGHTFULL Princess is back, they will want to know who did this..."
"Go on" The blue fairy said interested.
"Then I'll say 'I LINK, have saved the day, and put Ganon in his grave, so now your Zelda is free'. And that will make me?" He asked her quizzically.
"Link, I think your name will go down into history, if you do that!" She said happily.
"I KNOW!"
"But let's be REAL now, you have to return to your time its destiny, besides how long do you PLAN on staying?"
"Well Navi, I thinking until people worship the hero of time, and learn it's me."
"You idiot, it could anywhere up to seven years for a lone hero to become famous." She said demandingly.
"Well then think about this…"He started.
"Pulling the Master Sword made me go seven years future, and putting it back makes me go seven years back…all I need is someone else to put the Master Sword back, to go back seven years for me, so in modern time they will have the Master Sword, they give me THAT one, I keep mine I put two Master Swords in the Pedestal, pull them both at the same time and I will go forward 14 years! IT'S BRILLIANT!"He said confidently.
"That will never work you idiot! If you give someone the Master Sword then you WON'T have one to keep in modern time!" She insisted. Little did she know that Link had already given the Master Sword to a local postman, while she was talking. Link then looked back up at her skeptically.
"Trust me Navi it WILL work." He then turned to the Postman and said "Now you remember put back the Master Sword, then come back here in seven years! DON'T FORGET!" The Postman nodded and ran off to the Temple of Time while Link and Navi begun walking toward Hyrule Field.
"So now what do we do?" Navi asked.
"We wait seven years idiot" He replied.
"No! You see he went BACK seven years, this IS seven years later FOR HIM." She said.
"Oh my Nayru!" (There is no ONE god in Zelda, they worship three Goddess' "Nayru" is the Goddess of Wisdom "You're right, let's go back to the ruins of Ganon's Castle, he should be there!" They walked back to the ruins to see the Postman (holding the Master Sword) looking around for Link, when all of a sudden a shadow covered the whole area. Link ran to the Postman, Navi closely behind. When Link was ten feet away from him, the shadow gathered to between him and the Postman, and formed a figure, a familiar shape. The figure then got more colorful, and there was doubt about it. IT WAS GANONDORF…
