This is in response to ladygris' Truth or Dare challenge … Happy Birthday!

This comes in at 300 words ... not an easy task!

Jennifer was enjoying a late night snack on the balcony when Sheppard and Ronon wandered out and joined her. It appeared they'd just come from a sparring match.

"Hey Doc, you're up late," Sheppard greeted.

"Just came from a vicious game of Truth or Dare, Laura was in charge."

"I thought you girls stuck to poker?"

"Laura had a new variation she wanted to try out, there was a lot of alcohol involved … it sounded good at the time," she snorted sarcastically.

"So how'd she change it?" Ronon grunted digging into his midnight snack.

"All the truths … had to involve … center around … you know, likes and dislikes," she stammered.

"Okay, we need a little more information," John chuckled.

Jennifer sighed continuing with her explanation, "We had to declare who we had a crush on." Jennifer blushed in the darkness, stealing a sideways glance at Ronon.

"You should know better than to play that game with Cadman … she can be really wicked," he grimaced, pondering the last time he played with her. "Why not do the Dare instead?"

"Her new version dared us to kiss someone we liked before the night was over… like I said, a lot of alcohol," she snarled.

"I take it you opted for Truth."

"Yes, although the dare may've been easier, she has good interrogation skills," Jen laughed.

"Well, I'm beat, think I'll get some sleep. Same time tomorrow?" he asked getting a nod from Ronon as he left the balcony.

"Me too, early shift tomorrow."

"I'll walk you," Ronon offered.

At her door, as Jennifer turned to say goodnight, Ronon leaned down and gave her a smoldering kiss robbing her of oxygen and brain cells.

"Never could resist a good dare," he whispered on her lips before taking his leave.
