Butterfly
By A Navy Brat, June 5, 2001
Do you ever wonder the way I do?
Do you wonder how my fingertips would feel
If I stroked you,
The way I wonder how gentle you would be
If you were to place kisses down my throat?
Are you curious as I am about
How butterfly caresses
Would tingle your skin
And our hoarse murmurs would mingle in the dark?
When you see me with half-closed eyes
As I see you sometimes,
Do you wonder the way I do
If I think the same thoughts that you do?
Do you wonder if I know the difference
Between passion and lust,
Love-making and making love
The way I do?
Is love and emotion and pleasure
As distant and obscure to you
As it is to me?
Is passion a stranger?
Do you know what it feels like
To have your lips pressed to someone's skin?
Or your body touching another's,
Like Romeo's and Juliet's hands?
My heart and soul are still chaste,
The fire of passion is but an ember.
Your mouth is the bellows to ignite
My quiet ardor.
