Much Ado About Nothing.
A/N: This story is set in Chicago in the 20's and if you know the play you should know the characters but I'll give you a list any ways!
THE LADIES:
CLEONATO/CLEO: A respected Older woman with no children who houses all the young women and her older brother Antonio/Toni. Has always wanted the Don.
BEATRICE/TRIXY/BEA: She's about 24 with a past history of loving Benedick/Benny. Swore she would NEVER get married/ fall in love again. VERY witty. Slightly modest (More the most of the other Ladies). Hero's best friend. Antonio's niece.
HERO: A young girl around the ages of 16-20 with a head on her shoulders that she uses more often then most girls her age. VERY modest. Has some wit that she picked up from her cousin Trixy. Childhood friend of a young man named Claudio/Claude and has always been in love with him. Trixy's best friend. Claudio's best friend (Girl). Daughter to Antonio.
MARGERT/MEG: Maid to Hero. In her late 20's Helps Borachio with Don John's plan to slander Hero unknowingly. Loves Borachio. Not modest.
URSULA: a wonderful woman in her mid 30's. Friend and helper to Hero. Kind of modest yet still less then Beatrice.
CONNIE: Helps Don John with his plans and Sleeps with him when he wants it.
THE WISE-GIRLS/LULU AND MINI: Flapper's who don't do much just are generally there to help when needed.
THE MEN:
DON PEDRO/THE DON: The boss of the 'business'. Older and loves to flirt. Loves to play match maker. Has always wanted Cleo.
BENEDICK/BENNY: A witty man with a 'love' of all women but doesn't want to fall 'in love'. Had a past relationship with Trixy. Claudio's best friend (Boy). Loves to go out on 'business' trips.
CLAUDIO: A young handsome lad. Very brave. Grew up in Cleo's house with his best friend (Girl) Hero and has always loved her but could never pursue in because of the 'business'. Benny's best friend. Not the sharpest tool in the shed. Get jealous quickly when it comes to Hero.
BORACHIO: A jerk. A drunk. Convinces poor Meg to help him with John's "Evil plan". He still loves Meg even though he tricked her.
ANTONIO/TONI: An older man who is very powerful in the 'business'. Hero's father. Trixy's uncle. His wife died in an 'Accident' to due his 'business' ventures. Cleo's older brother. Has hidden feelings for Ursula.
DON JOHN/JOHN/JOHNNY: The biggest jerk around. Wants to get in Hero's pants. Is jealous of his brother, Claudio and Benny. Hates everyone. Has only two followers (Connie and Borachio). Clever.
THE WISE-GUYS/MESSENGERS/CURT AND SAM: Like the wise-girls the don't do much. Mostly just send messages back and forth between men. They carry large TOMMY guns and love a good fight
