My name is Wally West and until today, I only drabbled in video games. Of course that changed once I started playing a game called Sword Art Online. I thought I was the luckiest boy in the world, being able to get the game on it's release date in Japan! Sadly, it didn't work out that way. Oh, there's something else you should know. When I'm not Wally West, happy go lucky ninth grader, I am Kid Flash; sidekick to well, The Flash, and the Fastest Boy Alive.
I had woken up at 3:21 in the morning ready to race off to Japan. There were only ten thousand copies of this game being released and I was going to get one. The game used a brand new technology called Nerve Gear and I had to experience it, I got the last copy and zoomed home. I left a note for my parents saying that I was going to my Uncle's for the weekend, my Uncle Barry is Flash so they'd assume it was training. I had gotten there by sunrise and couldn't wait to get to my entertainment room to set up the game. My Uncle was already up so I explained what was going on.
"I just got this new game from Japan! I'm going to go play it!" I said, faster than I usually spoke.
"Don't spend all your time on it, you have to eat and you are Kid Flash, remember?"
"Yeah, I know. I promise I won't play all day." With that, I went and set up.
Once the Nerve Gear was set up, all that was left was to figure out how to start the game. It took a while to figure it out, there was a certain phrase you had to say to get it to work.
"Game on." Nothing happened.
"Start?" Nothing.
"Link up?" There was a small pulse of light, but then it stopped.
"Link on?" I tried, again there was the small light pulse.
I took a breath before trying one final phrase. "Link start?" The pulse of light didn't stop and before I knew it, I was somewhere else. I was in Sword Art Online. My avatar looked a lot like me with a few differences; red hair a deeper shade of red, and my outfit was a black cloak with a red lightning bolt on the back and I wore a yellow shirt and black cargo pants with my usual yellow boots.
It didn't take long to figure out of to work in the game. I killed creatures, gathered food, and fooled about for a while until I was ready to log out. Problem was, that there wasn't a log out button.
Now you're caught up. Right now I am in the center of one of the towns and don't know how I got here. There was a beam on light and then I was here. Suddenly there was some red goop that appeared to leak through the roof, forming a large drop. I heard someone in a red cloak mumble something about being back in Starting City, I guess that's where I am.
"Make your way through each dungeon and defeat the Floor Boss, and you will advance to the next level. Defeat the final boss of the 100th floor, and you will clear the game." The blob thing informed.
A/N: First crossover and first SAO fanfic. I've only seen to episode six so this story will grow with me, and I don't know how often I'll update.
