Well Hello, I'm Ans. I haven't written in fanfiction in forever, namely because I'm currently doing exams. I live in england and I am year 11 I think? No, maybe 12. I can no longer remember. Point is, here in england we have these things called GCSEs and basically in one of my test papers I basically have to write fanfiction. Awesome, I know right? Anyways I was doing a pratice paper today and I thought I'd submit this little drabble of mine.
Enjoy!
Stop! Daisy Stop! Stop the car!
Quickly, without even thinking about it, I pulled the emergency brake so hard it almost snapped off and with that the car came to a halt.
She...she...was...was dead...the woman...she was...was dead...but that's not important right now, I have to...I have to check on...I...
Daisy.
Daisy! I quickly looking over to my left at Daisy, was she alright? Please don't let her be hurt. Be okay, Daisy, be okay...
She was sitting there, heavily breathing, just staring at the road in front of her. I looked at her all over, there wasn't a mark on her body thank god. With that out of the way I quickly called out to her "Daisy?"
No response.
"Daisy?" I asked a second time. I needed to hear her speak. I needed to hear her voice, that hypnotic voice of hers that always seems so inviting, that just draws you in and just sounds like a beautiful whisper. I needed to hear that voice of hers, I needed it...I needed it...
but...there was no answer. She didn't say a single word. Nothing but complete silence...complete and utter silence. Her voice was...was gone.
And then, all of a sudden, in the midst of that dead silence, was a simple, loud, heavy noise.
Thud.
At that moment I felt something heavy on me and looked down. Daisy...My dear Daisy Fae...she...she fainted...I just seemed to sit there for a while and look at her, she was in my arms again...and I just...just needed to hold onto that...Daisy in...in my arms...and...oh god...
That girl was dead.
Her face...her face...she looked at us...did she know us? She was going to say something...I know it...I could see it in her eyes before...before she...oh my god...
She was dead.
I...just kept repeating that in my mind for god knows how long. Was it a minute? Was it an hour? I don't know but she was dead. The girl who had stared at us both, with words trembling on her lips, was dead. She. Was. Dead.
Pull yourself together Gatsby.
Now wasn't the time for this. What's done is done. It wasn't Daisy's fault, she came out right in front of us, Daisy had just started to steady on her driving, she just lost her nerve because she wasn't ready, the lady came out in front of us. She came out in front of us. It wasn't Daisy's fault.
It wasn't Daisy's fault.
With that in mind, I now realised I was in the driver's seat and without a second thought to this, I drove on.
Just get back home, get Daisy to her house, make sure she's safe, hide the car. It wasn't Daisy's fault. Hide the car, make sure Daisy is okay, dispose of all evidence. It wasn't Daisy's fault, everything will be fine. No one has to know, no one had saw her, everything will be fine, Daisy will be fine. It wasn't Daisy's fault.
I nodded to myself as I continued to drive, everything was going to be fine, I could do this. This was nothing different than going out with Wolfsheim. I could do this. Everything was going to be fine.
It wasn't Daisy's fault.
However, in the back of my mind, I knew this wasn't true, I knew it couldn't be.
Because my car is yellow.
You can have any colour car, as long as it's black in america.
And my car...is yellow.
