"Aya, no!" Razer screams, his voice echoing through the empty halls. "Now that you understand your—"
"It is too late, Razer. The time circuit will finish activating in 8.3 seconds. I will go back to the source of all pain and emotion and destroy it, so it will have never happened." Aya glows, disappearing in a sudden brightness, the resulting aftershock throwing the three Lanterns against the far wall.
Hal slumps, finally defeated. "We'll just have to wait and see what happens next." Bright ripples of time energy begin to swell from where Aya stood, 8.7 seconds ago. "Guess we won't have to wait long."
"It's been an honor serving with you both." Kilowog smiles as the waves approach.
Razer feels the energy tear through him as the universe remakes itself.
The Interceptor hovers above a prison asteroid, her wings clean and unscathed.
"Query: Where would you like to go now?" The white sphere bobs silently, anchored and secure in its control panel. Lights, blue and green, flicker across the console.
"Query: Razer, why are you crying? Do you require assistance?"
Razer lifts his hands up to his face, feeling the unexplained wetness on his cheeks. "I…I don't know."
Kilowog opens his mouth, about to toss a scathing insult at their newest Red Lantern crew member, but instead turns away, the words disappearing unsaid. Hal feels an unbidden catch in his throat as he looks down at the control panel. He just feels so very tired, and not sure why.
"Let's just…go home, Aya, please."
The white sphere nods assent, obedient as always. "Calculating parameters. Commands executing."
The Interceptor turns and glides silently into the distance, carrying her three souls back to Oa.
Note: First fanfic ever...hope it was alright?
