A/N: Hey everybody, welcome to my fic. This will mainly feature my OC, Antonia Amato, and her life at Camp Jupiter. Danky.

"I am a soldier of Rome, Octavion, there is no cowardice in me." Antonia Amato yelled. She was having a shouting match with the augur, again.

"You never stand up and fight, coward! How dare you besmirch the name of Rome?" Octavion answered, this girl had done the opposite of what he wanted. This clumsy fool deserved this.

"I'll show you how to be a Roman, Octavion!" Without a second thought Antonia had pulled out her gladius, "You against me, augur. Be a Roman, Octavion." and with that Antonia dove into a fight with Octavion.

"You are a fool, Amato, no one has beaten me." The two of them fought, gladius on gladius for a long while. Gradually, a crowd began to form. At one point the whole legion was watching, including the praetors, Reyna and Jason. "Toni, stop this..." Reyna muttered under her breath. She and Antonia were really close, she helped fill the gap Hylla made by leaving.

After quite a few more swings and stabs and blocks were made, Antonia landed a small cut on Octavion's left shoulder, falling to his knees he let out a gasp of pain. "Have...mercy, soldier of Rome." Octavion dropped his gladius, showing that he surrendered.

"Never doubt me again, augur, you will regret it." Reyna had never known Antonia to be a fighter, she was just downright clutzy. But this example here was almost worthy enough to earn her full membership, except sadly, it wasn't an act of valor.

Interrupting Reyna's thoughts, a man in a U.S. Military uniform popped up, behind his sunglasses there seemed to be spheres of fire, glowing menacingly. "You, augur, leave my sight!" he barked.

"Y-yes, Lord Mars!" Octavion squeaked, running for his life to the temples.

"You, praetor! Did you see that excellent example of fighting? Take notes, Romans, that's how you fight! My kid, that was my kid out there!" Mars smirked, looking around, no one looked like they could believe him. "Are you doubting my daughter, Antonia Amato? That's right, I claim her as my own." Throughout this entire display Antonia felt hersef growing small. No... No... No... War? How am I a child of war? That's Reyna! Not me. On the outside of the group, Reyna was having the same thoughts.

"Romans, I understand that there are war games tonight, I will be watching. And, brownie points to whoever shuts up the augur." After those last words Mars dissipiated is a cloud of smoke and a bang.

"Long live Antonia Amato, daughter of Mars." began Reyna, soon enough everyone followed. Before long everyone left, going back to their duties, or training. Soon enough, the only people left were Reyna and Antonia.

"What were you thinking, Toni?" Reyna started "Octavion could have killed you!"

"There are worse things than death, Reyna." Antonia replied bitterly.

"Like what?"

"Losing pride to that thing we call an augur."

"He does that to everyone!"

"But I am no coward, he lies, and I've showed that. Though, I got more than I bargained for."

"I know, Toni, you ever wanted to be claimed, did you?"

"Not really, that would just make me frame myself into who my parent is. Now I'm a child of war, like you."

"But that can't be too bad, we can suffer together. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be a centurion, or a praetor."

"No, I'll always be a clutz. I don't need the shining medals, or the war god stamp of approval."

"Fine, but at least be ready for tonight, alright?"

"Alright."

"I should probably get going, Jason might want a hand with the praetoring. See you?"

"Yeah, I'll see you at the games. I'll be attacking, wish me luck. Softening the walls is so much fun!" That last sentence was complete sarcasm, which kept Reyna laughing all the way back up to the Via Principilus.
