AN: I'm SO sorry I haven't written anything in eons! This is dedicated to my friend Evan, for helping me with this story, and to Kayla Pruett for requesting a new Katie story.
"Do you know what a UFT is?" Riley Poole teased his favorite niece, five-year-old Katie Poole.
Katie shrugged and shook her head, causing her pigtails to whip around. "Is it like a UFO?" she asked, bouncing on Riley's knee.
Riley laughed and held Katie still. "It's sort of like a UFO," he said. "But instead of an unidentified flying object, a UFT is an unidentified flying tiger!" With a grin, Riley hoisted Katie up and held her over his head. Katie broke into squeals. "I can fly!" she shrieked.
"I'm telling Ben and Abi that we have a new weapon," Riley joked. "We can fight off the bad guys with this flying tiger."
"Yay!" cheered Katie, spreading her arms out like wings.
"And she's off!" Riley laughed, imitating a sports announcer. "She flies through the air like the cutest jet plane in the whole wide world! And this is no ordinary jet plane. This is a jet plane powered by the giggles of one very, very special little girl!"
Katie hung her head upside-down to look at Riley. "You look SO silly!" she cried, howling with chuckles. "You silly monkey!"
"I do NOT," Riley shot back, draping Katie over his shoulder. "You do! Those pigtails of yours are stickin' straight up!" He grinned wider and twirled a pigtail with his finger.
"Riley!" screeched Katie, pretending to punch her uncle.
Riley turned Katie right-side-up and growled playfully. "Kaitlyn Jessica Poole, what have I always told you I'd do if you tried to fight me?" he asked in a mock-threatening tone.
Katie's eyes grew huge. "Not the bubbles!" she laughed, hands flying to her tummy. "Riley! Not the bubbles!"
"Now don't be wimping out on me! I'm not falling for that," Riley teased. "You love the bubbles and we both know it." He grinned and blew on his niece's tummy, causing Katie to let out a scream of pure five-year-old happiness.
"No, Riley, nooooooo!" she shrieked.
Riley's eyes sparkled. "Okay, tiger. I'll make you a deal. I won't tickle you as long as you don't say the secret word."
"What's the secret word?" Katie asked innocently.
"Riley," answered Riley with a wink.
Katie's smile stretched across the whole length of her face. "You'll tickle me if I say your name?" she giggled.
Riley nodded. "That's the basic point, yeah."
"What if I said your name a bazillion times?" Katie asked, her smile growing by the second.
"Then I'd have to tickle you a whole lot," chuckled Riley.
Katie beamed. "Riley Riley Riley Riley Riley Riley Riley Riley Riley Riley Rileyyyyyy!" she screamed, jumping up and down on the couch.
"Get over here!" Riley cried. He grabbed his niece by the ankles and began to tickle her belly button. Katie became hysterical. "Ri-Ri!" she shrieked, squirming around in her uncle's arms. "Holy cow! That tickles, Riley!"
Riley grinned and gently nudged Katie's armpits. "There's no such thing as a holy cow, tiger princess! Cows can't go to church!"
Katie giggled madly as Riley voraciously tickled her belly and toes. "You're SUCH a silly monkey!" she managed to say between giggles.
"Of course I am," Riley teased, kissing his niece on the cheek. "It wouldn't be nearly as much fun if I wasn't a silly monkey and you weren't my little tiger princess! Tickle tickle tickle....."
"Riley!!!!!!" cried Katie. "Riley, I love you!!!!!!"
Riley stopped tickling Katie and wrapped her up in an enormous hug. "I love you too, you little sillyhead," he whispered, kissing her forehead and nose.
"You're the bestest uncle in the world," Katie said, burying her face in Riley's shoulder.
"And you're the bestest niece in the world," Riley chuckled, nudging under Katie's chin.
Katie giggled.
AN: So it's horribly, horribly cheesy. But what else could you possibly expect from me? R/R.
