Danny and Lindsay smiled foolishly as they leaned across the table and murmured to each other about the night they had planned. They were alone in the DNA lab and their work had been momentarily forgotten as they carried on romantically.

Danny grinned as he mentioned "that little black number" that he was looking forward to seeing again. Before he could continue any further with his description, someone cleared their throat behind him. He turned around to see Adam standing in the doorway, face turning pink over the information he had obviously heard.

"Adam, can't you see I'm very busy here," he grinned, then looked back to Lindsay.

"Apparently." He cleared his throat once again before stepping into the room and setting himself up at a microscope.

A few minutes later, still bent over the microscope in front of him, Adam spoke up. "You know you should probably come up with some kind of code word or something if you're going to talk about that in public."

"A code word?" Danny laughed. "Like what? Hanky-panky?"

"Like baking cake or something. Then other people don't have to know what you're talking about," he frowned almost disgustedly.

Lindsay smiled toward him. "We're sorry Adam, we didn't realize we had an audience. We'll try to be more discreet about it."

He shrugged, not terribly bothered by it anymore anyway.

They all worked in silence for the next fifteen minute until Angell walked into the lab. She knocked quickly to announce her presence before walking in. "Messer, you got something I can take to the DA tomorrow?"

Danny pulled a paper from the stack next to him and handed it to her. "That's all the proof you'll need to convict him."

She looked it over and smiled. "Thanks. This is very good news." She looked across the room at Adam and spoke up just a little. "And we're still on for tonight right?"

"Uh, yeah, sure. I'll just meet you there later on." He sounded nervous as he answered and made a point of not looking anyone in the eye.

Interest in her voice, Lindsay chimed in. "What are you guys up to tonight?"

Angell smiled sincerely as she looked at Adam. "We're just gonna go to my place. He lost a bet so he's gonna bring over dinner tonight. But for desert I was thinking about baking cake or something."

Adam groaned and planted his forehead down on the table top in front of him. Danny and Lindsay immediately whirled around to face him, both laughing.

Still face down on the table, Adam groaned again. "Guess I probably could have suggested something other than my own code word."
