A poem I wrote the other day... Luna/Bellatrix, set after the Battle of Hogwarts and they, by chance, are both on the run together.

We crunched through the leaves of winter,

Sought candelight and warming bread.

The breath of trees in dancing shadow,

Such fires we left behind our tread.

The ice floe teethed your fingers,

The taste as sweet as honey juice.

I then did melt to diamond water,

Crystallising heat from you.

I pull you through the stabbing reeds,

Tresses twisting into mottled skin.

The wolves outside are ripped from roots,

When we play at gardening.

Emerald spiralling to ameythst array,

No smother for a star so bright.

Rubies burst in onyx fright,

Eyes pinned wide with Moon in sight.

We are the only who sleep at night,

In the forests, the mountains, the caves.

Your grip is tight, our wings are clipped, but I am free,

I felt, for once, when your spell did lave.

When ravens run with swans,

And dance, and twirl, and sing.

Solar and nocturnal,

We forget.. just.. everything.
