Alexandra Garcia was sprawled on a brown couch, just a bit larger for her tall built, her toes barely reaching the other end of the couch.
"You sure do treat this like your own house." A young man appeared behind the couch, holding two mugs in his hands, "Here, coffee to warm your body. It's still January after all."
"Coffee? Lame, Tatsuya." Alex commented with a sly smirk, "I expected beer."
"I am underage, Alex." Tatsuya replied as he handed Alex her coffee.
The woman chuckled, "I'm just kidding, you know." She accepted the coffee and sipped it, "Ew Tatsuya, have you forgotten I don't drink my coffee without milk?"
"Ah." Was Tatsuya's short response, "My bad. I'll get the milk from the kitchen now." The young man put his mug on the table and strolled to the kitchen, while Alex eyed the papers scattered around the table. Even her basketball-pupil did study after all. She had heard from Taiga that most high schools demanded their students to put their studies first and club activities seconds, so Alex supposed it was to be expected.
"Here's your milk." Tatsuya appeared from the kitchen with the said milk. Alex thanked him and poured the milk into her coffee.
"Nothing tastes better than warm coffee milk in winter, after all!" Alex exclaimed cheerfully.
"I thought you prefer beer." Tatsuya commented, while sitting on the floor between the couch and the short table (Alex sprawled on the couch made him unable to sit after all ) and started studying his papers.
"Not in the mood for alcohol right now."
"Oh."
For a while, only the sound of the clock ticking was heard. Tatsuya was busy studying and Alex seemed to be deep in her thoughts.
"Is being a high school basketball player difficult?" Alex's question surprised Tatsuya.
"Why do you ask?"
Alex put her mug on the table and got up to sit properly, "You know, you gotta keep up with both your studies and basketball, and I think that's not an easy task."
Tatsuya's lips formed a small smirk, "Fortunately, I am blessed with a better ability to understand school subjects better than Taiga, so I think it's not that difficult."
At that remark, Alex laughed and bent down to ruffle her pupil's hair, "You're right. You're really blessed." Alex winked, "Want a kiss to encourage you study?"
She might be imagining things, but Alex felt Tatsuya's body tensed, "Alex, I told you before that a kiss is too showy in Japan." He then muttered something along the line, "Besides, I'm a grownup man."
"Oh, come on!" Alex's smile grew wider as she cupped Tatsuya's face, "No one's around to think that it is showy."
"That's even wors—" Tatsuya's words were cut off as Alex pecked him lightly on the lips. With an excited smile, Alex started pulling back, but instead she felt a pair of strong hands prevented her to do so. Alex couldn't put her mind together when suddenly Tatsuya's hands pulled her against his body, and now they both fell to the floor. Alex was about to open her mouth to question his actions, but she found his lips on hers and instead of a short peck she gave him, this was more heated, rushed and clumsier—and even though Alex wanted to pull back, the strong hands behind her neck and head prevented her from making any movements.
As if something just snapped inside him, Tatsuya suddenly pushed Alex away, and guilt flashed in his eyes.
"A—a—I'm—" Tatsuya's hand lifted to cover his mouth, and his cheeks were redder than Taiga's hair, "—Alex—I'm…I'm sorry!" He got up so quickly and rushed to his room, slamming the door, leaving Alex alone in the living room. Alex was stunned, and her finger slowly touched her own lips.
"…Tatsuya really is a grownup man."
A/N: I think I should explain myself but then I realize I have no explanation I just owe everyone an apology so I'm sorry. *hides*
