This is dedicated to AprilUp, who requested this one-shot from my 100 shot collection of drabbles.

I haven't written anything in a while, so I hope you all enjoy.

Disclaimer: Full Metal Alchemist is not mine, it was never mine, and it will never be mine. Sounds like an unfortunate relationship.

Riza settles down on the train station bench, letting herself relax as she watches a train pull into the station. She had arrived 20 minutes before the trains departure in order to assure that she would get to speak with the people soon to be departing on the train.

Sure enough, after five minutes, the pair Riza is waiting for approach the parked train. Two blonds, one slightly taller than the other. The boy is carrying a medium sized suitcase, and is slouching slightly as he stops in front of the train. The girl follows suit, and they face each other apprehensively.

Riza is sitting probably around seven or eight feet away, but the pair don't notice her. They have a brief discussion, followed by a loud outburst, and Riza sees her chance to talk to the pair slip away. The boy says goodbye to the girl, and then climbs onto the train.

Riza remains rooted in her seat as the girl stares at the train as it toots it's horn and begins to pull away, waving at the boy through the window with false energy. The boy waves back just as eagerly.

The train picks up speed, and the boy's face falls when the girl is no longer visible. As the train starts to take off, the boy somehow makes eye contact with Riza just as his train room is passing the bench Riza is resting on. His eyes widen in surprise, then his grim face spreads into a genuine smile, and he waves once, before disappearing from view.

Once the train is gone, the girl leaves, and Riza rises to do the same.

"…and then she yelled, "You're a fool Ed, I won't just give you half, you can have it all." After that, I couldn't walk up to them, it would have ruined the moment."

Roy's eyes scrunch together as he listens to Riza's story. "That doesn't sound very much like them."

Riza laughs, "I know, but it did happen, I guess they felt like they had nothing to lose since they weren't going to see each other again for a long time."

Roy shrugs and takes a sip of his wine, "I guess, but still. Everyone in this world must follow equivalent exchange, Ed was correct."

"All you alchemists are the same way, why does everything have to be equivalent exchange? Isn't Al researching something where you give something and it gives more back?" Riza snuggles into Roy's side, curious as to what he thinks.

Roy thinks for a moment before carefully responding, "those are the rules, you get what you give, it doesn't matter if it isn't a real item, relationships are the same way."

Riza shakes her head, "I actually tend to agree with Winry in this case."

Roy chuckles and leans in to share a kiss with his girlfriend, "I figured you would."

Alright that is it. It is short, but simple and to the point. Since the original was only 100 words, it is hard to make a full length more than this.
