"Everybody writes their own destiny" but you never know what the twists of life have to bring you. Another romantic and dramatic story of your life with Darren Criss. Enjoy it!

The twists of life.

The drops fell steadily through your window that cold summer afternoon. After insatiable days of extreme heat, a gray stain covered the sky to give a respite to the city, with a concert of different sounds produced by listening to the raindrops hitting the ground and the thunders that made shiver that gray sky. A light show was to see when in the middle of the darkness, a lightning lit up the city, like a big flash in seconds. Appeared without notice and, at the time you wanted to capture it and enjoy it, disappeared, leaving you into the darkness once again. You never would have thought that this analogy could ever happen in real life, or at least, what you thought was real.

Just another day in your life. Just a typical day, where nothing would happen. No owl would come to your house with a letter to study at Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry, no man was going to call to tell you that you were going to act in a major film like in your dream, no one would find you to offer a series of trips around the world, no man would suddenly appear in your life to tell you how much he loved you. Just another day in your lonely life.

There you were, in your bed watching the rain fall through your window. You stopped to think about all your problems, how lonely and dark your life was. A long sigh came out of your mouth, breaking the silence. Your whole life had been handled by your parents that apparently all they wanted was you to become a good lawyer. You had no choice. You never wanted to be a lawyer; you always wanted to specialize in art comedy, acting and singing. It was your dream to become a figure that people appreciate and value, always being a dumb human like them. You always wanted to star in a musical. Perhaps you wanted things to be like this, because in the society in which you lived, you were just a ghost, ignored and excluded. You never really felt what love was. A musical, you thought.

At that time, you grabbed your old guitar, with a slight smile. Your guitar and music was the best way to express what you felt. You used to lock yourself in your room, so your parents couldn't listen, and write and compose your own songs. Your guitar was your only friend, who knew everything about you and who always made you company. With the same faint smile, you began to play it and sing until your eyes were closed gradually to fall asleep.

In the midst of darkness, a loud noise woke you up, making you shiver. You were alone in your house and you weren't expecting anyone. You fell silent. "Maybe it was just a mouse" you thought, but you were wrong. At the same moment, a light went on outside your room, a light coming into your room through the cracks of the door closed. The panic began to spread throughout your body. "Maybe are just my parents, who regretted of making that trip." Your thoughts were interrupted by a second sound. You didn't know what to do. You thought of hiding under the bed or inside the closet, but you didn't. The light that was coming out of the room was very intense. You decided to take courage and go out of your room. You grabbed the first thing you found: your guitar. Without trying to make any noise, you came to the door. The light was growing stronger. You grabbed the handle and started to open the door quietly. When you opened the door, the bright light blinded your eyes. You started to feel how your body was weakening helplessly and finally, you passed out.

"I think she's dead" You heard a voice, whispering close to you.

"Don't be a fool, she's just fainted! We have to take her to hospital." A second man's voice said.

"Well, I brought the car with me. Help me to hold her." A third voice said.

"You just go for the car. He and I are going to hold her." The second voice said.

"Wait, I think she's regaining consciousness. Look!" The first voice said.

Slowly you opened your eyes to find three men staring at you. Apparently you were lying on the floor, but that wasn't your home. It wasn't raining, it was a sunny day and you were in a place that resembled a green public place and, in the distance, you saw a large building with an "M" in yellow on a blue sign. You looked away toward the three boys. One of them was blond with big blue eyes, the other boy had dark eyes and long dark hair wearing a blue headband, and the third had hazel eyes and long curly hair. You were dazed and disoriented. You had no idea where you were or with whom you were. You looked around you. Your guitar was next to you, you grasped it quickly. You felt a deep pain in the head, as if it was about to explode, but little by little, the pain was ceasing. The three guys smiled at you.

"I think Sleeping Beauty has finally woken up, and she didn't need the presence of a prince to kiss her. Gentlemen, we're in the presence of the rebel Sleeping Beauty" The dark-eyed boy said. You recognized his voice; it was the first voice you heard. The other two boys laughed.

"I think this Sleeping Beauty escaped from Hogwarts and not from a fairy tale. Look, she has the same guitar that Harry freakin' Potter!" The hazel-eyed boy with curly hair said. It was the second voice that you had heard before.

"I'm not sure if we should take her to the hospital. It seems she's being transformed from white to pink. I think she has taken Transformation lessons very often" The blue-eyed blond boy said, smiling.

You issued no word. You just sat down very slowly, afraid of not knowing who those guys were, thinking that it was they who had entered your house and had kidnapped you to take you there. The blue-eyed blond guy moved closer to grab your arm. You quickly removed his arm and looked at him with suspicion.

"Whoa! I'm not gonna do anything to you. I just wanted to help you to stand up. My appearance may cause you fear and you may feel you want to run away. But appearances are deceiving." The blue-eyed boy said with a laugh "I think you should take care of her. Anyway, you were the one who saw her and, for some reason, women adore you" The boy said, winking and pointing to the hazel-eyed boy with curly hair.

"Fine, I'm gonna do it" The hazel-eyed boy replied. "If I don't come back in 15 minutes, it's because I was stabbed and you should call the police or, better yet, call the Pigfarts's cops!"

"Deal. Good luck in trying to stay alive, dude." The dark-eyed boy said.

While the boy with blue eyes and dark-eyed boy walked away to the park toward the building, the hazel-eyed boy with curly hair smiled at you and sat next to you. You both stared for a while, you still distrusted him.

"So ... Do you have any name?" The boy asked. You remained silent and the boy stood watching. "It looks like the cat's got your tongue. Well, I'll call you Aurora, as the Disney Princess." Again, you stayed silent. "Well Aurora, my name is Darren. It's a pleasure to meet you." Darren said, stretching his hand, but you ignored him. The boy frowned, confused.

Something strange happened at that time. It was as if your memory had been erased and then you were remembering everything. You looked around you again. You saw big blue sign that said "GO BLUE" in yellow letters. More in the distance, a sign that read "University of Michigan." You knew where you were and in whose presence, but you refused to believe it. It was impossible. Darren Criss was sitting next to you, but this guy wasn't the Darren who you knew for current pictures. That boy was the Darren of years ago. And the guys who were with him were Joey Richter and Joe Walker. Fear gripped you. It was as if you had traveled through time and space. Surely you were dreaming. Surely your dream began at that moment you heard that noise in your home. Obviously you had turned pale, because your thoughts were interrupted by Darren.

"Are you okay?" Darren asked a little worried. You nodded, still thinking you were in the weirdest dream of your whole life. "Suddenly you turned pale and I thought a ghost had taken over your body!"

You laughed within. "A ghost." That was what you really were and you couldn't believe that you were dreaming about it. Still convinced it was a dream, you tried to stand up but you lost your balance. Darren quickly stood up to prevent you from falling.

"Whoa, whoa! Not so fast, Sleeping Beauty, or you're going to fall!" Darren said, still holding you. You got scared. You could feel the warmth of his body and his soft hands, holding your body. And in dreams you couldn't feel the warmth.

You were in your room alone, trying to focus on writing some scripts for your next gig, preparing your final exam until your concentration was interrupted by the sound of someone knocking your door.

"I have a totally awesome idea!" An excited voice said through the door. You smiled and you stood to open the door.

"May I know of what this idea is about, Darren?" You answered with a smile and raised an eyebrow, looking at that long curly haired boy who was smiling widely.

Over time, you realized that what you were living wasn't a dream, but you didn't know what was going on or how you came to travel in time and space to be there. It was very different from the life you had before hearing those noises in your home that stormy night. Here, you didn't have parents who were forcing you to study something that you really didn't want; here you weren't a ghost trying to live. You were a person who was alive, trying living life, to enjoy it with your friends. Finally you were studying what you really loved at the University of Michigan. You weren't locked in your room to play guitar and write songs anymore. Now you were used to go outside and sit on the grass to compose songs in company, usually from Darren. The lyrics of your songs went from being a sad melody to become full of life, joy and fun songs. You never thought your life could change roundly, but it did. And your life couldn't be any better.

"I was thinking about our final exam" Darren said as he came into the room, sitting in the chair where you were. You closed the door and sat on the bed. "Making a simple script about a love story of Romeo and Juliet's style is not going to help at all"

"What are you implying, Darren?" You asked intrigued, grabbing your guitar. Darren turned to look at you and sat on the bed next to you, leaving your guitar aside to grab your arms.

"We must establish our own production," Darren said enthusiastically, with dreamy eyes. You knew what he was going to say, but you kept quiet. "StarKid Productions"

"Oh," You exclaimed, feigning surprise. "Well, I think that sounds great. As something that could be very successful. But I don't see how it would help us to make our final exam. "

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Darren said with a look of confusion, frowning. "With our name we'll be able to be easily remembered, and that adds uppoints. And I think we should put aside the love story that is bringing us more problems than solutions, and we should do a parody of the biggest films and books of history."

"So? About what movies and books are you talking?" You raised an eyebrow, but you knew what it was. "Don't tell me it's about ... Harry Potter?" You said artfully. Darren looked at you, agaze, in astonishment.

"Whoa Aurora! I think you really can read minds!" Darren said still surprised. "That's what I'm talking about. Transform Harry Potter into a musical comedy, funny and bizarre. Harry Potter's story from beginning to end, mixing the stories." Darren was so excited that provoked you tenderness.

"Actually ..." You started to say, looking at him mysteriously while Darren was looking at you impatiently. "I think it's a totally awesome idea! Screw this stupid love story. Let's go do this, Darren!" You exclaimed happily.

"Oh, Aurora! We're gonna rock this!" Darren said excited, and he stood up, walking to and fro the room. "We both can write the songs. The writers should be Matt Lang, Nick Lang and Brian Holden, they're the best with scripts. And then we're gonna go assigning the characters" Darren was very excited; you were looking at him smiling broadly.

"Well then, I think it should be like this. Let's start with this!" You answered glad, grabbing your guitar.

Darren and you left the room to go play guitar and compose songs of this musical in the park under the big tree where you both always used to do Disney's songs covers. Both were happy and excited. You knew this was going to be a success, and none knew what "StarKid Productions" would become.

After four months of hard work, the musical "A Very Potter Musical" was a success. You uploaded some videos on YouTube and apparently, so many people liked them. The musical was named one of "The 10 Best Viral Videos of 2009" by Entertainment Weekly. To celebrate, you decided to organize a party. Everyone involved in the musical were to attend the party. The University of Michigan agreed to offer one of their classrooms to make room for the party. It would be an informal party, so you just wore a simple jeans and shirt. Once you got ready to the party, you went to it, happy and alone.

As soon as you got in, you got surprised by how well organized it was. The music was blaring and there was a stage with instruments and microphones, lights were coloring the room and there were tables where you could get something to drink. A lot of people had arrived there already. You met Lauren and Joey who were talking and laughing near you. You were talking and drinking for a while, until Darren walked to where you were.

"Oh man, this party rocks! We only need to get into that stage and sing something, man!" Darren said excited. Apparently he was drunk, yet it made him more fun. You also were a little drunk, like almost all the people who were at the party.

Darren grabbed your hand and Lauren's hand and took you both to the stage. Joey followed you. Lauren took a microphone like Joey, while you and Darren grabbed the guitar. For a few hours you spent your time singing on stage and performing impromptu performances, laughing. After that, you went to the dance floor and danced. It was being definitely a very good celebration. Darren grabbed your hand to dance with you, until something you weren't expecting happened. A girl walked up to you and she grabbed Darren's waist to surprise him. Darren turned to see who the person who had grabbed his waist was. As soon as he looked at the girl, Darren held her tightly and so did she. You've never seen that girl before. She was a pretty girl with long brown hair, like his eyes. After a few seconds, Darren realized that you were still there.

"Oh, Aurora! Look, this is Mia.A…friend…of mine." Darren said, unconvinced.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Mia." You said, smiling.

"Nice to meet you…Aurora?" Mia said and you nodded. "Would you mind if I dance with Darren for a while?"

"Oh no, it's alright. Anyway I was about to get something to drink, I'm thirsty." You answered and got away.

You went to the table where the drinks were. You took a glass and sat in a chair that was near you. You couldn't help staring at Darren and Mia. They were dancing very close to each other. A weird feeling came over your body. It was a feeling of restlessness, causing a feeling as if your heart were burning. You tried to ward off that feeling, but couldn't. "Could it be jealousy?" You thought, but you refused to believe it. There was no reason to be jealous of Darren and Mia. Darren was just a friend, and he seemed happy with that girl. You should be happy for him, because apparently he was with someone he liked. You laughed at your silly idea to think it was jealousy. You tried to change your attitude, and when you were about to go dancing with Joe who was close to you, something suddenly happened, that for some reason left you stunned. Darren and Mia were in the middle of the dance floor, kissing deeply. At that time you felt as if your heart was breaking in million pieces. An extreme distress began to put pressure on your chest. You felt how your eyes began to fill with tears for no reason, while Darren and Mia were leaving the party together. It happened so fast, your tears began to fall on your face and you didn't even know why you were feeling that way. You thought it could be the effect of alcohol. But alcohol intensifies your feelings, not invent feelings that do not exist. As soon as you realized you were in the middle of the party in tears, you decided it was time to go back to your room to avoid embarrassment and avoid uncomfortable questions that you didn't even know how to answer. You felt relieved to think that nobody saw you, because everybody was entertained. You left the party to return to your room in the same way you had come, alone. But this time you were feeling something very different than happiness.

Meanwhile, one person at the party saw everything what had happened.

It was a typical cold day of autumn, but some sunbeam were lighting the park where you used to go to compose music. Millions of students were walking in front of you, going directly to the building of the University to take their classes. The day was very cold to be outside, but you enjoyed this place. You were alone, just playing your guitar. Everything remained the same, except for your feelings. You used to be always happy and with some company, but now you were alone and that feeling of joy was gone. The notes on your guitar were denoting a sad melody. You decided to stop playing the guitar to rest on that big tree that was losing its leaves, turning the grass into a brown cloak of leaves. You just sat there, looking at nothing, seeing without observing, engulfed in your thoughts. Your relationship with Darren had moved away, and you were the guilty one. He had not changed, he was still the same guy who was always smiling, cracking jokes and being friendly with everyone. He was always looking for you to talk and play guitar together, to spend time together as always, but you avoided him all the time inventing lame excuses. You were trying to understand why you had felt that way a few months ago, trying to understand why you couldn't spend time with him without going back to your room with a sadness on your chest. You refused to believe that you were jealous and that you were feeling something more for him than just a friendship.

"Aurora!" You heard someone yell. When you realized that Darren was running towards you with a smile on his face, you tried to stand up and go, but Darren came before you could do something. "Hey, what are you doing here? It's very cold!" Darren said, rubbing your arm. You took your arm away as soon as you felt his touch.

"I was just thinking ... to compose a new song." You answered coldly. Darren still looked at you smiling.

"That's cool! I think we should write a new song; long ago we don't do it!" Darren said happily. Obviously he didn't realize that things had changed. You faked a smile.

"Sure, I agree" You said trying to pretend a smile. "But another day. Now ... now I have to go to my lessons." You lied, grabbed the guitar and stood to leave, but Darren grabbed your arm to stop you.

"Aurora, Is everything alright?" Darren asked, looking into your eyes without letting go your arm.

"Yes, everything is fine, Darren." You lied a second time.

"Oh, is just that for a moment I thought you were trying to get away from me. What an idiot!" Darren laughed and you pretended to laugh with him, and he stood up. "Well, before I let you go to class, I think we could compose a new song after tomorrow. Because tomorrow I'm going out with Mia! We're going to Disneyland, can you believe it? It's gonna be totally awesome!" Darren said excited and you tried to hide that anguish that was taking over your body. "So do we have an agreement?" Darren asked and you just nodded, trying to hold back your tears. "Perfect! See you, Aurora! "Darren kissed you on the cheek and walked away.

You stayed there stood, dropping all those tears that you were holding. After a few minutes, you calmed down and wiped away the tears from your face to get away from there and go to class.

The same person who was seeing you both at the party was standing there behind the tree. But you haven't noticed.

After 3 months, one cold winter day, you woke up and rose from your bed to realize you were an hour late to go to your acting class. You grabbed your coat and went outside. The cold hit your face like a slap. It was snowing, so you hurried up to get to class. You noticed that everything was very quiet and almost no people were walking around, which was unusual, but you kept walking. You were about to get into the practice room for action, until something stopped you. You heard your name. You decided to stay behind the door, listening to what two people were talking about you.

"What the hell is going on?" You heard Joe's voice.

"I have no idea what you're trying to ask me." Darren's voice answered on the defensive. It seemed like they were having some kind of argument.

"Man, don't act as if you didn't know what's going on. I've been watching you both." Joe said.

"What the fuck?" Darren asked startled. "Why the hell have you been doing it?"

"Because I knew that something weird was happening and I wanted to avoid that someone get hurt" Joe said quietly. "Why are you doing this? You know very well that she doesn't deserve all this, and you're being an asshole."

"For aught I know, I'm not doing anything wrong. I never did anything to hurt her. We are still very good friends. I talked to her, and she told me that nothing bad was happening to her"

"You're an idiot, Darren. It's obvious that she's not gonna tell you. But haven't you seen her carefully? There's no sparkle in her eyes now. Her eyes only reflect a deep sadness and that's happening from that celebration party we had." Joe said nervously. "Is not it obvious what is happening?"

"No, I don't think so. I don't see your point of this conversation." Darren said, sharply.

"Man, open your eyes! She's in love with you. And you only talk about Mia when you're with her. If you don't feel the same for her, at least respect her. Don't talk with her about Mia, because you know very well that you're hurting her!" Joe said, almost shouting. You shuddered. Joe had been watching you, and he had realized what you were feeling. You felt terrified as you realized that now Darren knew what was going on with you. Everything would change, and you knew that. You stayed silent to keep listening to the conversation.

"I ... actually ..." Darren began to stutter. "You know? Aurora ... she really is ... I ..." Darren started to say.

"Aurora! What are you doing out here? Come, let's get in. It's very cold" Meredith shouted behind you and grabbed your arm.

Many things happened in just a second. You blushed, praying that Joe and Darren haven't heard Meredith yelling. Joe and Darren looked toward the door quickly in a panic. Joe walked away toward one of the benches. Darren avoided your eyes and, nervous, grabbed the first thing he found pretending he was doing another thing. Meredith got into the room and frowned when she noticed that something odd was happening. A tense situation filled the room. Fortunately, the tension ended when Julia got into the room, with her usual cheerfulness.

"Well guys, who is ready to practice?" Julia asked brightly, and all pretended to be excited by the practice.

When you finish the practice, Darren quickly grabbed his backpack to leave the room without saying anything. Before crossing the door, Darren's eyes and your eyes were met, but quickly he looked away and Darren left the room. Definitely, Darren and Joe had realized that you had been listening. All you wanted in that moment was to being eaten by earth. You greeted everybody and left the practice room to go to your room, thinking about that recently you've experienced the most embarrassing moment of your whole life, knowing that from now on everything would change. And surely it'd change in a negative sense.

Someone knocked on the door. You were lying on bed, but as soon as you heard the sound, you got up to open the door. You blushed and got shocked to see who it was. That curly-haired boy was standing in front of you. But unlike all the times you had seen him, he wasn't smiling. His face reflected seriousness and frigidity.

"Can I come in? I think we should talk about everything that has happened these days." Darren said offhandedly, after a week of that awkward moment in the practice room. It was the first time they had talked since that time.

"Yes, of course, come in." You answered, letting him to get into in your room. Darren came in and stood. "Would you like to sit?"

"No, I'm fine. Thank you." Darren said sharply. You nodded and sat in the chair on your desktop.

"Well? What do you want to talk about?" You asked nervously.

"I know you heard us that day. You heard it all." Darren started to say, and when you started to deny it, he shushed you. "Don't try to say that you didn't, because I'd know that you're lying to me" Darren, still standing, turned his eyes to look into your eyes. "Finally, after thinking for a long time, I think ... I think I found a way to try to solve this that has happened."

Darren told you this last, looking serious and a bit nervous. You just stared at him. What was happening wasn't normal. You cursed to yourself inside your own to have been listening behind the door that day. Undoubtedly, everything had changed. Darren hadn't walked towards you every time he had got the chance to see you, and the only thing he used to do was look at you with a serious expression and get away from you. Throughout the week, you spent thinking about and trying to understand your feelings. You consider yourself a fool for ruining your friendship with Darren for a stupid thing. You knew you had a crush on him. But for you it was more valuable to have him as a friend and go back in time, when you and he often spent time together, laughing till dawn. You were missing him. You missed hear the sound of his voice, his smile; you missed look into his eyes, spend time with him and forget everything around you. Everything that made you happy was gone. You could feel how your old life was coming back. But you stayed there, sitting without moving or uttering a word. You looked at him nervous, with a tinge of sadness. Darren took a step toward you, yet serious.

"But first I would like to know some things" Darren said, still looking into your eyes while sitting in a chair next to you. "What Joe said that time, is true?" Darren asked, penetrating into your eyes.

Your heart began to beat faster; you felt how it wanted to get rid of your body. You didn't want to lie, but neither wanted to tell the truth, you weren't brave enough. You only lowered your gaze to look at your lap, hiding your hands between your legs so in that way he couldn't notice your nerves. You felt how Darren, beside you, was doing a wince of discomfort, yet you didn't look up.

"I guess, by your silence, that what Joe said is true" Darren said, almost in a whisper. His voice sounded as if he were uncomfortable.

The room was quiet, the only thing you could hear was the sound of the clock that marked the seconds and minutes that were passing. The atmosphere was filled with an air of tension, nervousness and discomfort.

"I'm gonna tell you a story, but I want you to pay close attention and look me in the eye" Darren's voice sounded almost like an echo in the silence, while he was lifting your chin so you could look into his eyes "This is the story of a silly kid who one day decided to study at the University of Michigan"

Your eyes got lost in his. You could see sincerity in their eyes, but when you saw his eyes even deeper, you could see that his eyes were sad and worried. The fact you were looking into his eyes made you calm down, but you were still a little nervous and embarrassed. You fell in silence, but with your eyes fixed on him, you let know Darren that you were listening him intently.

"This guy used to hang out with friends, have fun. Everything was going fine until an unexpected and inexplicable moment happened. Something that has changed his life."

Darren seemed to be immersed in his history. He had the sight lost, as if he were remembering something.

"A sunny day, he decided to sneak out from classes with two of his friends to go to get RedVines. They were very excited until the in their way, the boy saw a girl lying on the floor next to a guitar. He quickly approached her. As soon as he saw this girl, the boy was stunned. It seemed as if this girl had come out of a fairy tale, he had never seen her before. In fact, like a princess this kid named this sleeping beauty. They both used to spend all their time together. It was all very odd. They got along so well that seemed they knew each other for a lifetime. For some weird reason, the boy felt the need to spend all his time with Sleeping Beauty. He felt a weird feeling every time he heard her voice or every time he saw her smile. The boy felt as a teenager before his first kiss. But the boy never dared to say anything. One thing was certain. His life was being very happy. "

Your eyes filled with tears to hear his words. You had a great desire to hug, kiss and tell all you really felt for him. But you stayed still, listening to your heart beating at a rate inconceivable. You looked deeply into Darren's eyes. His eyes were full of happiness in every word he was saying. But then something strange happened. The shine of his eyes denoting happiness became eyes that denoted a shadow of sadness, just in matter of seconds.

"But not all fairy tales come out as expected, and not everything has a happy ending." Darren's voice sounded bitter and slightly sharply. "The guy never could tell the truth to Sleeping Beauty. Apparently she didn't feel the same. It is then that the boy met another woman. The woman seemed to be attracted to the boy. And the boy thought she was a woman very beautiful, friendly, cheerful and fun. They knew each other more and more every day. One day, he had a party where the two girls were going to attend. The boy thought it would be uncomfortable, but it was the perfect opportunity to finally decide what to do. There was the Sleeping Beauty, dazzling with her beauty. It took time to him to get close to her, because he was nervous. But finally he took courage and decided to come together to sing and then dance. At the precise moment when the boy was going to say the sleeping beauty how he felt about her, the other woman approached. Sleeping Beauty went away and she never came back. The boy decided it was time to forget her because, although it hurt his soul, she definitely didn't feel the same for him. That night, the boy thought the other woman could ever be his choice. With an odd feeling in his chest, the boy kissed the woman and left the party to be with her alone, to have a moment of intimacy. The boy never expected that after this, his life could change completely. Sleeping Beauty wasn't the same as ever. Her face reflected sadness rather than happiness, and she was always looking for excuses to get away from the boy. The boy thought that maybe Sleeping Beauty had realized what he really felt for her. He decided to pretend he didn't realize what was happening to her because he was nervous. Meanwhile, the boy spent much time with the other woman. Eventually the boy was able appreciate the woman, even to love her, and, little by little, he was forgetting the Sleeping Beauty."

When Darren finished saying this last sentence, you took a deep breath and closed your eyes, dropping your tears, as evidence by the immense sadness that you felt in your chest.

"But a cold winter day turned his life into a mess. He was preparing for a practice and a friend of his began to argue. That day his friend told him that Sleeping Beauty was in love with the boy. His friend made him to open his eyes. And when the boy was about to say what he really felt about the Sleeping Beauty, he realized that she was listening. A feeling of shame came over the boy's body. That day, the boy returned to his room only to clarify what had happened. Sleeping Beauty was in love with him, and he loved her with all his heart even though he had tried to forget her. But he also loved the other woman, with her he felt loved. His life had become a mess. His joy turned to sadness. He pulled away from everything he loved the most, to not to hurt anyone. Never in all his life, had he felt more lost and confused. Finally, the boy decided something that could work to do well to all. After a while, the boy went to the room of the Sleeping Beauty, to say her that the best thing would be away for a while from everyone and not to harm anyone. So the guy was there to say goodbye to the Sleeping Beauty"

When Darren finished telling his story, you only stared at his eyes. You were seeing everything blurry, because tears of sadness didn't stop falling down your face. Darren was crying silently and he didn't try to hide it. You got closer to him to grab his hand and say something, but the lump in your throat didn't allow it. Darren, still crying, moved closer to kiss your lips softly for a while. The kiss was wet because of the tears, but that kiss said a lot of things that thousand words couldn't explain. That kiss meant what you both wanted to do long ago, but now it meant your separation.

"I'm so sorry" Darren whispered in your lips, his voice choked. "I can't do this. I have to go."

Darren stood up and left your room. By closing the door, he closed everything that between you both happened. He closed a stage of your life to start a new one, this time without him. One last tear ran all over your face to end in the corners of your mouth. The last tear was a witness to the anguish you felt to knowing that the man you loved was walking away through the door never to return.

Half a year ran away. Finally it was summer and vacation had begun. You hadn't seen Darren since that time in your room, nor had you heard news of him. Although you were sad, you knew how to keep going and try to enjoy your time with your friends. You became a closer Joe's friend, with whom you shared all your feelings. He was the main person who helped you to figure out how to keep going. You had grown fond of him and you would never be able to thank him enough.

The day that classes ended, you decided to go to celebrate the beginning of the vacation to Disneyland, probably the place you most enjoyed.

After a long trip, you finally arrived there and began to enjoy all its entertainment. You were having fun like never before. It was like being in a magical world, and it really was. You were so entertaining that at any moment you realized that you had not eaten anything and you were hungry. You decided to go eat something. Along the way, something made you stop. You felt how everything around you was fuzzy and had disappeared to just focus on a man, who was a few steps away from you, was standing. The short man with curly hair was staring at you with his hazel eyes, apparently also surprised and incredulous. For the first time after half a year, you were seeing Darren Criss. You thought you had overcome all you felt for him, but seeing him again that weird feeling you felt every time you were seeing him, came back. None of you both moved, you both just stared each other. The crowd of people was walking in front of you as ghosts. After a few moments, the two of you started to walk to meet. Now facing each other, still looking into each other' eyes, Darren placed one hand on your waist gently. You shivered at his touch and closed your eyes for a few seconds. Without saying anything, unable to think anything, you hugged him with all your strength and rested your head on his chest. He also hugged you and rested his head on yours. You stayed a long time like that, feeling all the love you both thought it had disappeared. Meanwhile and far away, Joe was seeing you and he smiled, of course he had planned everything. Happy, Joe went away, leaving you alone. Darren ceased to hug you to look into your eyes. His eyes were shining. He leaned his forehead against yours. You could feel his breath on your face; you could feel the warmth of his body. And before you could say something, Darren put his hands on your cheeks to get closer and kiss your lips deeply. Your body began to tremble of happiness, you couldn't feel your legs, it seemed that you were going to fall but you could still being stand because you wrapped your arms around his neck. This time the kiss was very different from the first kiss. The kiss seemed to mean the reunion of you both after a long time, it expressed surprise and happiness to finally enjoy and put forth what both felt. It was like having the first kiss of your life. It was a magic moment that was to reconcile new experiences, new moments to share. You were heading into an unknown future, but feeling that nothing could go wrong, because together you would build it.

When the kiss ended, Darren penetrated you with his eyes.

"I love you" Darren whispered.

For the first time in your life, you heard those words. You never thought that it could happen ever. But there you were, standing in front of Darren, loving each other.

Together, holding hands, walked to a place where there were less people. Finally you came to a dark place where no one was around. You sat together on the floor and started to talk, recovering all the time lost because of your separation. You both were calm and relaxed, happy to be back together. In this place you could only hear your voices talking and laughing.

"You know what? I was thinking ..." Darren started to say, but suddenly you couldn't hear anything and everything went dark.

You felt how robust hands were holding you firmly to ensure that you don't move. You couldn't see anything or hear anything except the screaming that was coming out of Darren's mouth. You couldn't make any sound. You didn't know was happening and panic set in your body. You felt how the adrenaline ran through your veins. Darren kept shouting, apparently he also was being held by someone. Suddenly you felt how a cold object was resting on your chest. Darren screamed even louder. All of a sudden, you felt a loud noise that stunned you. You felt how something very cold pierced your chest. The hands that were holding you tightly stopped hold you and you fell on the floor. The pain prevented you from moving. You heard how several steps were running away. The thing that didn't allow you to see was gone; however you were seeing everything blurred. You could see the blurred figure of Darren running towards you. He held you. His body was shaking and he kept shouting help in a tearful voice. He took your head toward his chest and rubbed your arms to give you heat. You felt how his heart was beating fast. He took off his shirt to put it on your chest, pressing. You were very cold. You were seeing increasingly more blurred.

"Hold on, please. Stay with me, please don't go. Stay with me." Darren said, desperate and crying, still pressing his shirt in your chest.

"Look into my eyes." You tried to say with the little breath you had left.

Darren looked at you in the eye. You looked at him intently and smiled despite the pain. Darren couldn't stop tears and shaking.

"I love you" You said with your last breath, staring for the last time at Darren's eyes, before that an extremely dark blinded your eyes while a last tear went out of your eye and fell on your body, already dead.

A strong thunder made you startle. You opened your eyes. There you were, in your room, lying in your bed next to your guitar. You turned on the light. Slowly you sat on your bed, with a feeling of distress. You refused to believe that it had been just a dream, everything was very real. But you were in your room again in this life that you hated, just as you remembered.

You were feeling very odd; you looked at your chest. It had nothing; no trace of you had been shot. You looked the day on your phone. January 2, 2012. Definitely it had been a dream. You got close to the door of your room. There was no light. Slowly, you opened the door, thinking that you could return to that place where you loved life.

Nothing happened. You weren't lying on the ground neither three guys were looking at you. You were alone at home, seeing the hallway that connected all the rooms.

As a lightning that lights up your life appears without notice and, at time you try to capture it and enjoy it, disappears leaving you alone into the darkness again.

January 3, 2012. Darren Criss was going to debut on Broadway.

You definitely got tickets to go see him. You needed to confirm whether this had been a dream, so you took a flight to New York.

The show was awesome. Darren had played his role perfectly. He seemed very excited and happy. You thought he really deserved it, for all his efforts. You were you proud of him.

As soon as the show ended, you went where the crowd was, to get his autograph. You got a perfect place. You were waiting for that moment that Darren will sign you an autograph and see you, to see if he remembered you or not. After a few minutes, Darren finally came out happy and ready to sign autographs. You waited patiently until it was your turn. When Darren came to where you were, you started to get nervous. It would be the moment of truth. Darren got to where you were and grabbed your picture to sign it without looking up.

"Thank you" You said before he could go away to sign another autograph.

Darren smiled and finally looked up. You were very anxious to see his reaction. Your heart began to beat faster. Darren was about to tell you something. But rather than answer it, he remained silent and frowned slightly, and then he walked away to sign another autograph.

A huge disappointment invaded your body. For a moment you thought that Darren would recognize you, but he didn't. Everything had been a big dream. You sneaked away of the crowd while you were listening Darren's voice.

"If you can hear the sound of my voice, thank you so much. I know its freezing, you're all so sweet, I appreciate all of you. I'm hugging you all with my mind. I can't sign everything but thank you from the bottom of my heart"

You walked alone in Times Square on that cold night in New York. Some tears began to fall on your face and you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't notice that a black car was following you.

You sat on a bench that was near you, thinking of how you wished that everything that had happened could be real. There was nobody hanging around where you were. Only you and your disappointment. You were looking to the horizon with your sight lost until you felt a hand rested on your shoulder. You felt how millions of feelings and memories accumulated and protected in your memory started to come back as flashbacks in a matter of milliseconds.

"Aurora?" Darren's voice said behind you.

You turned to see the beautiful hazel eyes of Darren that were looking at you. His eyes were filled with excitement and surprise to see you.

"I thought you were ..." Darren began, but he just stopped and sat down next to you.

He wrapped his arm on your waist while you lay your head on his shoulder, both looking toward the horizon, feeling how the warmth of your bodies was fused. Both of you stopped even trying to understand what had happened or how weird it was that situation. You only sat in silence, enjoying that you both were back together again, with tears of joy in your eyes and thinking about the twists of life.
