I was listening to Miley Cyrus' Goodbye (shocker, I know :P) and I sort of got this idea of a one-shot. (I know I do a lot, but I'm still thinking of a story to write)

As Alex Russo awoken from her beauty sleep, she couldn't help but think of her ex-boyfriend. She made her way to her closet, which had polaroid pictures taped to it. (A/N: My closet has polaroid pictures taped to it. It looks pretty neat.) She stared at the picture of her and her old flame. He was kissing her cheek and she was making a face. She missed these days. Memories started filling her head, and tears escaped her eyelids. She let them fall, not caring that her eyes were getting all red and puffy.

"Please don't cry." he asked, "He was an idiot to not realize what he was missing." Alex had just been stood up by Riley for 700th time this month. She finally called it quits, and broke down once he had left. "No, I'm the idiot for falling for him." Alex replied. "I'm the idiot for not realizing he didn't love. I'm the idiot-" she was cut of by his lips gently pressed against hers. Alex smiled as they pulled away, "What was that for?" she asked. "You wouldn't shut up!" Nate laughed. A now happy alex jumped up to her feet and pulled Nate up with her. "Dance with me!" she said. "What? No way.. I don't dance." he replied. Alex sighed heavily, which made Nate laugh. "Fine. But there's no music?" he stated. "That's fine."

Ignoring her tears, Alex turned on her laptop and scrolled down her Top Rated song on iTunes. She played Because Of You by Kyla, which was their song... Before they broke up.

"Because of you, my life has changed

Thank you for the love & the joy you bring

Because of you, I feel no shame,

I'll tell the world

It's because of you"

Alex sang along to the song until it was over. Of course, she was a little pitchy, seeing how she was trying to sob. She picked up her Blackberry and searched her contacts list. It had landed on Nate's name. She debated on whether she should call or not. Realizing in would be a waste of time, she put the phone down.

"Alex.." Nate started. Alex was already in tears; She knew what was about to happen. This had happened many times before, but she was positive this would be it. The final goodbye. "Alex, I'm sorry. But we just can't go on like this.. We're always fight-" Alex stopped him. "Please don't continue." Alex whispered. "Goodbye, Alex." Nate whispered, holding back his tears. He placed a peck on Alex's cheek, then left.

Alex jumped at the sound of Nate's ringtone. She looked at the caller I.D, just to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. Nate. Once again, she debated on whether she should answer or decline. She answered it anyway, "Hello?" she spoke through the phone. "Alex.." Nate breathed. He sounded so miserable and lonley. "Nate.. I miss you." Alex cried. "Me too. I can still remember our first kiss. And the time when you made me dance with you even when there was no music." Alex could hear him trying his best not to cry. He was trying his best to be strong, for himself and Alex. "I can remember all those simple things, Alex." she was wiping my tears. Not knowing what to say, she just said whatever came out of my mouth. "Please don't hang up on me.." she whispered. "Why would I do that?" he questioned. "Because you don't love me anymore." "Alex, my biggest mistake, my hugest regret, and the most stupidest thing I've ever done is saying goodbye to you. I'm lost without you." "Nate?" "Yeah?" "I love you..."
