"It's time for bed, Caleb", said Hermione Malfoy to her six year old son.

The little brown haired boy frowned. "But Mummy, I'm not tired", he protested.

"Listen to your mother", said Draco as he walked in the sitting room.

Lucius Malfoy watched with amusement. His son and daughter-in-law were trying to get his grandson to go to sleep but the child was simply not going to listen to his parents.

Perhaps it was a family trait to dislike going to sleep, thought the former Death Eater. After all, he himself had spent many nights awake; memories of his dead wife always kept him up and restless in bed.

Narcissa died eight years ago and she hadn't even seen Draco's wedding to Hermione.

Lucius liked his son's choice, even if she wasn't a Pureblood. He didn't mind the fact that the Malfoy heir was Halfblood.

He decided that blood didn't matter anymore.

A person wasn't defined by who his or her parents' are.

He was a changed man.

A changed man who was pleased that his only son was happily married and didn't have any problems with Hermione Granger, now Malfoy. She made his boy happy and in turn, that made Lucius happy.

Not only had Hermione saved Draco from self destruction after the war, she affected him as well.

She gave Lucius something he thought he'd never have.

A warm and loving family.

His son was devoted to him. He and Draco now had a real father-son relationship unlike what they used to have in the past.

Hermione was a daughter to him. A beloved daughter who brings sunshine to his life. She gave his son a reason to live and together the couple brought a new life into the world, which came in the shape of Caleb Draco Malfoy.

Caleb had his mother's hair colour, his father's eyes and pale skin. He inherited Hermione's brains, Draco's wit and mischievous ways. He'd learnt to smirk his daddy's famous smirk at the age of one!

"Caleb!" exclaimed Hermione. "This is the last time I'm telling you, Mister. Go to sleep!"

The young boy looked between his parents and once he realised that they weren't in the mood for joking, he nodded. "Okay", he said unhappily. "Just give me a minute."

He walked on over to his grandfather and placed his small hands in the older man's bigger ones. "Good night Grandpa."

Lucius smiled softly and playfully rubbed Caleb's hair. "Sweet dreams", he hugged his grandchild.

"I love you", said Caleb in all seriousness.

Lucius' smile grew even wider. "I love you too, Caleb Draco", he replied with what can be called tenderness.

On a more serious note, my own grandfather had two heart attacks yesterday afternoon. Yes, two attacks in one day. He's doing alright now but for a moment there, I was super scared of losing him.

If you don't mind, please pray for him. You don't know him or anything but still, prayers count a lot, no matter whom they're from.
