BEEP BEEP BEEP Bzztp.
Ruby groaned as she attempted to pry open her sleep written eyes. She shifted her head to face the window and groaned even louder. The sun hadn't even painted the quiet streets of Vale which meant that it was far too early to even be up. Her girlfriend, however, had set the alarm to the dead hours of the morning, in a futile attempt to be up for her work.
Ruby felt the body she was attracted to begin to stir, fearing her source of warmth would abandon her in the sea of tangled blankets and allow the dreadful feeling of cold reach her. Ruby forced whatever strength she could muster in her sleep driven state to force the heater in place.
"Ruuby…" Neo moaned faintly as she rubbed her eyes with her free hand. "I have to go to work.."
"But I want cuddles… and I always wake up alone.." Ruby pleaded as she buried her face deeper into the shorter girl's neck.
Neo groaned as she was met with Ruby's guilt trip. "That's not fair you know.." She said turning to face her redheaded girlfriend.
Ruby managed to open her eyes wide enough to meet two loving pink orbs. "I just wanna cuddle all day with you…" Ruby groaned once more as she rested her head back on Neo's shoulders, while still staring at her pink eyes.
"I know." Neo said attempting to struggle out of Ruby's death grip with no avail. "But my Boss has a pole up his ass and will flip if I'm late." She pleaded.
"So call in sick." Ruby suggested. Neo rolled her eyes with a scoff.
"He'd only grant me that If I were dying, love."
"Nooo..You no die.. You just cuddle me.." Ruby moaned as she buried her face once more.
Neo couldn't help but laugh at Ruby's childish actions. Still finding it hard to believe that she was a full fledged Huntress, despite her acting like a total child when faced with sweets or cuddling.
"How 'bout I call him and say My huntress of a girlfriend demands I stay in bed?" Neo jokingly said.
Ruby perked up. "That could work." She said with almost child-like glee. Neo face palmed.
"Ruby. No. That won't work."
"It could."
"No."
"Please?" Ruby begged as she widened her silver orbs.
"Ruuubyy…" She groaned loudly.
"Fiine.. 5 minutes.. then I'll let you go." Ruby finally said.
"Deal" Neo responded as she snaked her arms around her red-clad girlfriend and pulled her close. Ruby sighed in comfort as she drifted back to sleep.
