As Draco and Hermione were lying in bed, Hermione asked a very unusual question " Do you love me?" That struck Draco as unusual because they had been together for so long, almost years that they were almost like a married couple and he was sure that she loved him and that he loved her. They just never really found the time to say it. Not when they were talking, not when they were laughing, not when they were cooking dinner together, not when they were shagging, not when they were just reading together by firelight...it seemed to be that not one of them had said " I love you" to the other person. But he was sure that she loved him and that he loved her. It's just that those three words were scary. It meant commitment, honesty, love and he has and was all that, mind you. He just was scared to express it. "Um...sure." Hermione did'nt respond for some time and Draco was scared that he just gave his girlfriend a heart attack. Yes, he knew that "um... sure" was a bit too much but he hoped that love was a serious thing and that maybe if he expressed his love a little too much with an "um...sure" then she would just have to -"Um sure!?" Hermione exclaimed at Draco. "UM SURE!?"
