Well on with the story.

Chapter one: Reliving the past

Naruto sat on the step outside his house; he felt the stabbing pain in his chest. It was three o'clock in the morning and he was tired, it was not because he could not get into his house or he just couldnt sleep, it was because he was scared. He was scared of seeing that one dark haired boy whos face was screwed up in pain and anger, as he was also scared of hearing those two same voices over and over again, one yelling at the top of his lungs, the other choking on his words. Naruto began to feel drowsy his eye lids began to close he was too tired to be scared, but it still bugged him.

FLASH

"I thought I was the one for you Naruto, but you HAVE to screw it up dont ya! You just couldn't wait to screw it up!"

"Sasuke, I-I-I-!"

"I don't want to hear excuses! Say what I want you to say Naruto"

"Sasuke…"

"SAY IT!"

FLASH

The blonds eyes snapped open, he shuddered realizing how cold he was, he turned to face the sky, although it was a summer night it was rather cold and a mist crept along the floor, half covering Narutos shoes, this oblivious to him. Narutos blue eyes began to search the stars above him, hoping he would some how find the answer up there; his breathing was starting to become restricted. Naruto got up and automatically walked for the swing he always used to sit on before he got his headband.

FLASH

"Hay, look it's that kid again…"

"Yeah, hes always making a prat out of himself, I feel sorry for the team who gets him, I mean he'll just mess every thing up as always!"

FLASH

"Yeah, and look what you did now Naruto, you messed every thing up again……like always………" Naruto had muttered to himself, he was now sat on the swing, swaying backwards and forwards, following the currants of the wind. The sun began to rise once again in Kohana, the birds began to sing and the breeze died, Naruto moved his head towards an elongated shadow opposite him, he followed the shadow to its owner. Stood just a few feet away from him was Sakura, Naruto became hot and flustered at this point and Sakuras face became a slight pink with blushing. Sakura had been carrying shopping bags before spotting Naruto on the swing, but now they were crumpled down by her heals.

"Naruto……" she ran over to him, pulling a coat over his stiffened shoulders, she then knelt beside him, her emerald green eyes softly waiting to connect with his ocean blue ones. "……whats wrong?" Naruto seemed to tense his whole body even more with her touch.

Its not ment to be this way Sakura I do love you and all but………Sasuke………

"Nothings wrong, im just……I just lost the keys to my house……" His mind managed to connect words into a sentence he knew was a lie, every thing was wrong and he did have the keys to his house, but his brain was to dead to even register her presence for long, his vision was becoming blurry again and his balance on the swing was lost, that last thing he could remember was Sakuras gasp of shock and a cold morning dew hitting his face. His eyes slowly began to flicker closed, the sounds of Sakuras voice fading into a mumble, his own heart beat blocking out any sound, but it seemed to let one slight sound through, the sound of Sasukes voice, amongst the mumbles of Sakuras
