After caressing the side of a glass of water, Mike reclined in his chair and laced his fingers behind his head. A thoughtful expression appeared on his face, prompting Max to demand, "What?"
Mike leaned forward, elbows resting on the desk. He motioned towards the glass with a wave of a hand. "I was wondering, what's the difference between a 'half-empty' glass and a 'half-full' one?"
Max paused and gave his partner a fixated look. "Are ya being serious?"
"Well, yeah," he scoffed .
Max shrugged, "I guess," he chewed on his bottom lip, "If you're seeing the glass half-full, you're an optimist. If it's half-empty, you're a pessimist. But-"
The younger man looked up, curiously. "But what?"
Greevey shrugged idly, "If you're a realist, like me, you're just grateful for the damn drink." Logan punctuated the air with a sharp laugh, before he grabbed his drink and took a sip. Nodding he dramatically raised his eyebrows, "I'm pretty God damn grateful, Maxy. Thanks."
The other man shook his head slowly, but Mike didn't miss the small smile that pulled at his lips. Logan smirked.
