Chase opened his eyes. The light was streaming in through the gap in the curtains and he squinted, climbing out of bed and opening them. Great, another day at the office with Cameron. He thought sarcastically. This means more abuse from House and Foreman when it's not my fault.

Chase walked into Princeton Plainsboro and sighed routinely. As per usual, Cameron was waiting at his favourite table (which was not his favourite table anymore thanks to her) with a Coffee. He went and sat there because he knew if he didn't she would just end up following him everywhere (he knew this from experience).
When he wasn't looking, Cameron slipped the pill into Chase's coffee.
"Hey
Chase," she smiled as innocently as she could and handed him the
coffee.
"Um, hi Cameron," he took the coffee and sat opposite
her, unwillingly take the drink and taking a sip.
"So how are
you Chase? You look really tired,"
"Yeah, I guess I am." He
shrugged and took another sip, taking advantage of the caffeine in
his drink. It made him feel more awake every minute.
The more he
drank the more his vision blurred. He rubbed his eyes but the haze
didn't clear, he had a throbbing headache and felt sick to his
stomach. "Cameron, I – I can't see you! My head is killing me!
And my God! My stomach!" he groaned and ran to the bathroom,
throwing up in the toilet. He threw up again and again. Finally, he
passed out, sinking to the cold hard floor, tears running down his
cheeks.

He heard a door opening and then closing slow footsteps, a gasp and
then heard faster footsteps moving away again he cried out then an
unfamiliar voice said, "It's okay Dr. Chase, I'm going to get
help!"
The footsteps moved away again and someone shouted, "A
Nurse in here please! Dr. Chase has collapsed, I'm not strong
enough to lift him on my own!" Lots of hurrying footsteps now and
strong hands lifting him up, carrying him somewhere. He was lowered
onto a bed and rushed into a room.
Cameron followed quietly as if it were a normal day at the office. But it wasn't, this was totally different. Completely and utterly different.
Beep.
Beep. Beep. This was a familiar sound. But, in the wrong place at the
wrong time. Or so he thought.
Why is there a Cardiac Monitor in
my apartment? He thought to himself.
