Disclaimer: Just a little short story for the Fourth hope everyone likes it. I own nothing.

Song: My Country 'tis of Thee.

Ethan Hunt stood next to his beautiful wife, with there newborn baby girl; that both Julia and him named Lindsey. In honor of the very girl that Ethan thought to be a little sister. He wrapped his arm around Julia with Lindsey sat ontop of his shoulder. Washington D.C was erupting with hundreds of different fireworks around them as everyone was celebrating America's Independence and Freedom.

-My country, 'tis of thee,

Sweet land of liberty,

Of thee I sing;

Land where my fathers died,

Land of the pilgrims' pride,

From ev'ry mountainside

Let freedom ring!-

Freedom. . .that word seemed to ring around his head. His dad taught him that word, and its meaning. Everyone has the right to it, but that didn't mean everyone had it. Not to mention the price for such Freedom.

Many would have given their lives to have the rights Americans did and everyday Ethan was thankful for what he had.

-My native country, thee,

Land of the noble free,

Thy name I love;

I love thy rocks and rills,

Thy woods and templed hills;

My heart with rapture thrills,

Like that above.-

Very few knew everything about him, but by one glance everyone could tell that he loved his country and everything in it. Especially his darling wife and daughter. What he would give for the two of them, they were his world and to spend that day America began what she is was more then enough

"Happy Birf-day Amwica."

A smile escaped his mouth as his young daughter cheered with the little lisp she had. Waving the small flag in her hand as she did.

-Let music swell the breeze,

And ring from all the trees

Sweet freedom's song;

Let mortal tongues awake;

Let all that breathe partake;

Let rocks their silence break,

The sound prolong.-

More fireworks of various colors shot and exploded into the air lightning up the entire night sky. It was a little more extravagent then what they did in Wisconsin when he was growing up. Back then it was a huge amout of Cherry Bombs, Sparklers and about six or seven Fountians. Plus the shows from New York and Washington that he would watch on T.V

But for him the best part was to see the American Soldiers returning home to celebrate with them. The young men and women that much like him tried to make the world a better place.

In his eyes every single one of them were heroes and on that very night deserved to be next to there family members. Just like he was.

-Our fathers' God to Thee,

Author of liberty,

To Thee we sing.

Long may our land be bright,

With freedom's holy light,

Protect us by Thy might,

Great God our King.-

Julia leaned into her husband wrapping her arms around Ethan's torso as the grand finale began.

"Happy Independence Day Ethan. . ."

Pulling his wife against him he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and kissing the top of her head.

"Like Lindsey said Happy Birthday America."

A/N:Sooooo yeah I feel good about this little short story. Happy Fourth everyone and be safe out there.

God Bless America.
