Cooking

She was sick of pizza - sick of take-out in general - and decided to do something about it.

Shiro had searched the kitchen and was surprised to find pots and pan, that the cooker actually worked and even found a dusty cook book on top of a cabinet next to a mixing bowl. Jackpot.

There wasn't much in the fridge in terms of ingredients, so she thought she'd start simple. Omelets. They were simple…

So she thought.

It turned out that trying the crack an egg with one human hand and one bringer was not as easy as it should have been, and she didn't have the skill to crack them with one hand. Que egg going pretty much everywhere!

Mixing was a little easier, as was adding milk and heating butter on a pan. Y'know, until a small fire started because the heat was up too high; she wasn't sure how that happened - she didn't realize butter could catch fire.

Try that again. Watch the heat.

Adding mix to the pan, Shiro learnt that the butter spits and it stings like hell on the blue part of her bringer. She also learnt not to have a ten minute argument with some telemarketer on the phone - food burns that way.

It also sticks to the pan…

Que one angry Shiro calling it quits and eating half burnt - half cooked omelet from the pan.

"Tch. Still better than take-out…"
