Parting from innocence as you get to know humanity
Raging inside over all this idiocity
As you notice the blindness and sheer stupidity
You know that to survive you'll have to hide and flee

Perspiring as you worry about your future
Rising up and seeing your depriving enclosure
As you weep you notice that you can't go any further
You know that this solitude is murder

Pulling away from all your earthly connections
Running far from where you risk detection
As you look up at the sky to say goodbye because you've chosen the other direction
You realise that all you've ever needed is affection
