Hey guys! Long time no see! So, here's this very short one-shot that I wrote. I really hope you like it. Enjoy! The crazy twin (A.K.A. Javi) over and out!
She was uncomfortable with vacations, but just as Graham had said, she needed them. She wasn't expecting to go there, after all she'd been through in that place, but unconsciously and against what her brain said, she went to Burbank. She had a little bit of hope that she could meet him in the street, but she knew it was probably impossible. She went to the coffee store, asked for a skinny vanilla latte and stepped out. In that right moment, and even though she couldn't believe it, she saw him.
She couldn't help it. The nostalgic feeling, sadness and a bit of joy filled her. Without thinking it through, she took a step ahead and got closer. She poked his shoulder and said:
"Chuck?"
A curious look with the same overtone of melancholy that hers, turned around and stared at her. Those same eyes that stopped her dead when she entered in that humble house, to hang out a little with her friends, 15 years ago. Just as she stepped inside of that residence, she knew something would change. She raised her glance, and in front of her a large mirror reflected not just her own figure, but another one with chocolate eyes. Their eyes met, and neither of them dared to move any muscle.
Her friends quickened her to get in, and she, without stop looking at him, walked in. After a transition of minutes, his gaze moved away from the mirror, and disappeared. She was willing not to think about him while the night progressed, she danced with her friends for a couple of songs, but she sat in a corner after doing it so. Without any warning, the boy approached, with two pillows, and got his hand out of his pockets, and if he was asking her to dance, he took her hand.
They went out. He threw the pillows to the grass, and laid down. She imitated him. With their hands gripped, they watched the stars, without saying a word.
The night went through, and the sun slowly began to stick out. They, silent as the whole time that they spent together, sat, watching the dawn. At last, he got up, tried to clean his jeans, shaking them, took her hand, and, again, without telling anything, embraced her. She hugged him back, and he, with a huge, beautiful smile, said:
"I'm Chuck, you must be Sarah, right?"
