A bell rings indicating the return of spring and another year at Acme Loo. Beeper, the young, red and orange roadrunner who had high hopes for his new classes, looked to the board outside their school. Calamity was placed in his class this year and Beeper could only stare in awe as the young coyote walked about, strutting his stuff like he was popular. Everyone knew the coyote was only looking for attention so the other kids paid no mind to him.
But Beeper was the only one to see for what the young coyote was. A genius yet he never told him that before. But today, Beeper was going to try to tell the young coyote one way or another.
As soon as class started, Beeper took a seat next to Calamity. The young coyote was not happy about this arrangement of seats and decided to sit next to a young green duck. Beeper made a screeching noise like that of a car pushing the crakes causing the teacher up front to lose their edge against the black chalkboard up front.
Calamity crossed his arms against his chest and sat patiently waiting for the young roadrunner to finish his constant screeching so that they could continue the class. But Beeper was insisting that Calamity listened and kept looking over to see if the young coyote would give him some sort of sign. But Calamity did not acknowledge the young roadrunner and instead, stuck out his tongue as the teacher began the class for the day.
At the end of the day, Beeper was not himself. He was sad not to know what the coyote could be thinking only that it could be something nasty and awful of his previous actions. The young roadrunner was about to step down on the last step of the small stone stair case when he bumped into something or someone in front of him.
It was Calamity and the young coyote did not appear to be so angry like he was earlier. Beeper was confused as he realized what the young coyote was doing. Calamity's snout and the roadrunner's beak had touched.
Beeper tilted his head in a cute way and made a honking sound like a ship setting out for sea. The young coyote blocked his ears and looked up at Beeper angrily. The roadrunner smiled at the coyote and fled like a speeding bullet, leaving behind a trail of dust.
What had just transpired between Calamity and Beeper was anyone's guess as they could not understand why Beeper was acting so strangely on the first day of class. But Calamity seemed to know and had set the roadrunner off on a racing schedule.
A/n: Listening to Fnc say "You're a muffin." That is the funniest thing ever!
