He stood there numb. He wore a simple black shirt and pants. Black is for mourning, how true. Everyone around him was dressed the same, using the ceremony as an excuse to show off their newest purchases. No one cared about the man slowly being lowered into the ground.
It was raining, heavily, but he couldn't feel it. He didn't care. For hours he stood there not moving through the entire ceremony starring at the grave. He never looked away. As the dirt began to pour into the grave a single tear slid down his face but no one saw for the rain had washed it away.
As slowly people began to leave he showed no reaction. When finally he was alone he still made no move to leave until hours later. He threw himself violently upon the ground and began to dig. He dug and dug, digging his way down to the coffin that he knew was there.
As he found it he threw it open and flung himself onto the body inside. He clutched it and cried. "Why Lucius! Why did you leave me all alone…so alone. I can't live without you. I love you…Avada Kedavra."
Wand pointed at his own heart he ended his life with the very spell that started it.
