Chapter One: I don't know what to name it but whatever
"Mother! Mother! It was so amazing! Mother! Where are you…?" Saruwatari Yuri, a 10 year old Hoshigakure genin came running through the hallways of her home having completed her first ninja mission ever. She had just graduated a week ago, and all the missions she has had so far have been unsuccessful. Yuri's dyed magenta hair fluttered in the wind as she ran outside onto the deck that bordered a lovely crafted garden with many cherry blossom trees and a coy pond centering the landscape.
"Mother! I did it! Mother where are you!" Yuri said stopping suddenly. She looked around the deck of the Saruwatari home, but no one in the family could be seen, "Where is everybody? I mean I come home from my ever completed mission and no one is home! AHH!" Yuri said throwing her hands into the air angrily.
"Yuri-chan, you must calm down! What is the matter?" A tall brunette woman came walking down the deck towards Yuri carrying a large box filled with scrolls. She smiled happily; her silver 'star' head band glittered through her bangs.
"It was so amazing! It was my first completed mission! I didn't mess up this time! I got to use my attacks to save the day! It was great!!" Yuri said excitedly, jumping up and down. Yuri's mother, Aki, knelt down, placing the box on the ground, sitting face to face with her daughter.
"I am very proud of you Yuri-chan, you are already starting to become a fine ninja,"
"I have to find niisan! He will be so proud of me!" she said, already running off down the deck, beaming. Aki picked up the box of scrolls and stared after her daughter who was running carelessly along.
"She has grown," she said to herself, daydreaming of a time when she was that age, young and carefree.
"You haven't told her yet, have you?" a deep voice interrupted Aki's thoughts. Yuri's father, a tall, broad shouldered man with a scar on top of his right cheek had snuck up behind Aki when she wasn't looking.
"I'm not going to tell her," Aki said, still staring down the path that Yuri had run. Nervously, she turned around and stared at the man.
"We have a mission to avenge our clan, and to take over the village, and as soon as we captivate the power of the star, we will be undefeated in battle and Hoshigakure can finally become one of the main villages," he said sincerely staring her down with a straight face.
"Yuri's mind is as strong as her heart. She loves this village and the people in it. She would never…"
"Though Yuri has a strong and will-full dedication to the village, the bonds between her and the clan are even stronger, and she is old enough to understand that this clan must get back what is rightfully ours, even if it wipes us out completely!"
"I love our daughter Takato! She deserves what she wants as much as you or me!" Aki said, trying to defend her daughter, "She is still in the brink of youth!"
"You don't understand Aki, Hoshigakure has made a mockery of the name Saruwatari far too many times, the entire clan will attack tonight. We have the power and strength to fulfill one last mission of war!" Takato averted his eyes away from her and walked away, leaving a cold and silent presence among Aki and the rest of the home.
