Slow dancing with Eridan in the nutrition-block one night was actually a hell of a lot nicer than Sollux had anticipated, but he wasn't about to let douche fins know that. The last thing the sea-dweller needed was something more to feed his ego. . .
"Good morning beautiful, how was your night, mine was wonderful with you by my side," Eridan sang softly, derailing Sollux's train of thoughts, "An' when I open my eyes to see your sweet face, it's a good morning, beautiful day. . ."
"What the hell are you singing, ED?" Sollux demanded, somewhat annoyed.
"Dunno," Eridan shrugged, "Dave was playing it the other day. Think he was trying to woo Kar again by listenin' to love songs."
Sollux snorted with repressed laughter,
"It's a good possibility."
"Yeah," Eridan sighed as the slow song faded, docking into another one, "You know, Sol, this is actually really nice. Thanks for humoring me. "
"It's no problem," Sollux assured him; he hesitated a moment before making a request, "Could you sing me some more of that song? Your voice isn't so horrible when you sing."
"Well you know I'm not gonna just break into song whenever I wanna talk to you," Eridan admonished, putting his foot down immediately, "This is it, I'm gonna sing you this one song an' that's it, got it?"
Sollux nodded,
"Yes, I got it."
