This would definitely be for fans of 'The Darkest Fairytale'. I'll put the full summary in here, just in case it doesn't all show up.

Son of Darkness, Daughter of Light

Draco; son of Darkness, Hermione; daughter to Light. Neither can live with the other. Neither can live without the other. Two people fated to destroy the other but destined to love one another. Will they sacrifice all they believe in the face of true love? Will the two kingdoms combine to form an unstoppable empire? Or will they destroy each other, as is their duty to their people and their parents?

Son of Darkness, Daughter of Light

' Rise, my child.' The Empress said to a girl kneeling at her feet.

The girl stood up, her dress swaying as she did so. Her brown eyes were wet with tears and as she brushed her hand over her eyes, a few fell off her lower lashes, spotting the ground.

She raised her eyes to the empress defiantly, her brown hair getting caught in a wind that didn't exist. Her dress whipped around her. It was as if someone had taken a piece of sunlight, sewed it into a dress, and put it on her. The dress shone, as if from within.

The Empress raised her eyebrows, ' Don't try that with me, Hermione!' She warned.

The wind around Hermione stopped, and she scowled, ' Well, what do you expect? You wrenched me out of my home, and forced this duty upon me! Don't I have a say in this?'

The Empress smiled, and it sent shivers down Hermione's spine. It wasn't that she was frightened of this woman; it was that she was told she was her mother.

'I'm afraid you don't. Unless you want the power to consume you, and take your life with it, you can go back to the family you knew. But be warned: your family might also lose their lives by your hand.'

Hermione just glared.

The Empress smiled, ' As you know, you will ascend the throne when you have completed the last task.'

' Last task?' Hermione interrupted, ' What 'last task'?'

The Empress raised a perfect eyebrow, ' Why, you will destroy our opposition, of course.'

' Who's your 'opposition.'?' Hermione asked, feigning boredom.

' I think you know him. He goes by the name of 'Draco Malfoy'?'

' Malfoy?'

' Yes,' The Empress said, smiling at her surprise, ' He is the Son of Darkness.'

Meanwhile…

Draco glared at the figure in black before him, ' You want me to kill Granger?'

The figures' voice dripped with venom,' No. I want you to first acquire her power, and then kill her. Is it so difficult'

' B-b-but,' Draco stuttered, ' She's just a filthy little mudblood, why do you need her?'

' She's not a mudblood. She's the Daughter of Light.'

' What does that mean?' Draco asked angrily, ' I keep hearing I'm the 'Son of Darkness', so is she my opposite?'

' Yes. You have the power of dark magic, while she has the power of light.'

' How come I'm only hearing about this now?' Draco asked doubtfully.

The figure raised a fist, and twisted it. Draco fell to the floor in pain, clutching at his chest, 'It was held back by barriers. Don't fight it, embrace it.'

Draco stood up slowly, and raised a hand, palm up. A ball of black fire sprang to life.

That's it!

So… you like it? I know it's short, but it's an epilogue, peoples! Review, please!
