A/N: This was inspired by some notes I was making for the Silver story. This is set during the episode "Zhane's Destiney", but also is AU because it's Rainbow Brotherhood Universe. Part One of Two.
The speaker is Ashley. Andros is eaves drpping. The last line is Zhane.
"Why are you leaving, Zhane?"
Andros froze, his breath caught
"Is it because of…us?'
Anger tinged bitterness welled in his throat
"I know TJ can be overbearing, he was red."
He closed his eyes, his hands fisted
"Carlos, it's his story, but, it's not just you, he likes you."
Hurt hammered his heart, anger stole his breath
"Cassie hurts, she isn't healing yet."
He gasped silently, fighting tears
"I can be pushy, it's cause I want to help."
Anger, hurt, bitterness, despair, warred within
"Is it Andros?"
He stilled, time stopped, one word.
"Yes."
