Author's Note One: Okay, so this is my first Harry Potter-type fanfic. Except it's a poem, of course. I wrote it after reading Deathly Hallows, because Snape's last words were haunting me. This poem is Snily! (Am I the only one that thinks it was a typo that should have said "silly" instead?)
Disclaimer: Obviously, everything goes to J.K. Rowling….
Author's Note Two: Whether or not you like this poem, I would really apperciate any sort of comments anyone's willing to throw my way. I would love to know anything that can improve my poetry. Thanks so much for reading!
"Look at Me"
A Poem for Snape
-xXx-
Look at me, Lily, with your eyes so green.
Look at me, Lily: prettiest girl I've ever seen.
Look at me, Lily, so I know what to do.
Look at me, Lily, and you'll see me looking back at you.
-xXx-
Look at me, Lily, and let me explain.
Look at me, Lily, and know I never wished you pain.
Look at me, Lily, and know this isn't what I planned.
Look at me, Lily, and you'll understand.
-xXx-
Look at me, Lily, with your eyes so green.
Look at me, Lily, if only when I dream.
Look at me, Lily; I know I made a mistake.
Look at me, Lily, at least until I awake.
-xXx-
Look at me, Lily, so that you can know.
Look at me, Lily, I still love you so.
Look at me, Lily, and know I tried to help your son.
Look at me, Lily, and forgive me for what I've done.
-xXx-
Look at me, Harry, once before I die,
Look at me, Harry, before I bid this world good-bye.
Look at me, Harry, so for one last time I can see
Those green eyes of your mother looking back at me.
