And they weren't supposed to be friends. She wasn't supposed to be here. She didn't care. She was Sharpay Evans.
His arms gripped her, held her tightly as he ravaged her. She liked it. It felt safe, being with him.
She was tossed aside as easily as anything. She lied to herself; he did care about her, but he had a reputation. He was the cool guy. Somehow, she had ended up branded the school slut. It wasn't her fault that all the jocks were attracted to her.
But he was the one who was most attracted to her, and he was her favourite. He was the one with a girlfriend. That annoying, perky little girlfriend who he was clearly unhappy with.
He told her that he was happy. She told him to dump her. He refused. She hit him. It was their daily routine. It always ended with sex.
She wanted more than that. She wanted a relationship. It wasn't going to happen. He wouldn't let it. She hated him for it, but she still found herself falling for him harder each day. She was stuck.
She wanted so badly just to tell him how she truly felt. She wanted to just scream it to the whole world.
She wanted to be the girlfriend.
Her grades were falling. She spent class time doodling juvenile statements like 'Mrs Troy Bolton', 'Sharpay Bolton-Evans' and 'Troypay LOVE'. She kept her doodles secret, of course. The taunting that would ensue if anyone saw was unthinkable.
Her whole life was kept secret, but especially him.
No one knew. No one was allowed to know. So their "relationship" consisted of secret meets after dark; they never let themselves be alone in daylight hours. It was safer that way.
She would never say it out loud, but she loved him, and she was afraid.
There were so many consequences, and she wasn't ready for any of them. Lying on his bed, exposed and so confused, she wasn't ready for once in her life. She wasn't totally secure.
Troy Bolton was Sharpay Evans' only weakness.

A little short one-shot that I'm not actually that fond of. I liked my initial idea...but it kind of tailed off.
