Ahiru tended to adore birds of all kinds and partly due to her unusual bloodline, she'd found herself caring for little ducklings much to Fakir's bewilderment.
Fakir had let it slide that she was caring for little ducks though seeing the way she was with them often reminded him of how she might one day treat her own children and left Fakir both nervous over whether they could have kids and happy over the idea though he'd probably not admit it.
He watched his wife, silly as she sometimes was, take off after their ducklings that were nearly full grown with a shout of, "My children come back to your parent!"
The dark haired man bit back the resemblance of a smile as he watched her flounder when they still refused to listen to her.
Ahiru eventually dove for them in a weird show of klutziness as she wrapped them all up into her arms.
"Now, don't run off again." She spoke semi-sternly as she stared at her 'babies.'
Fakir couldn't help but let a small smile show on his face as he stepped closer to them and carefully wrapped them all up in his arms.
His wife smiled at the warm embrace around her and around their nearly grown ducklings.
"How about we take them back to our pond?" Fakir asked; they'd recently dug a pond as the ducks were getting much too big for kiddie pools and the bathtub which was the first place that Ahiru tried to care for them at.
Ahiru smiled back at him as she walked beside her husband, "How do you think we'll get them used to it?"
"Perseverance, I guess." Fakir shrugged as they carefully helped their ducks into the pond and watched them flounder a bit before they began to swim.
Ahiru smiled at them, "They grow up so fast."
"They do." Fakir agreed with her as he moved in to delicately kiss his wife on the lips as he savored this moment with their duck 'children.'
Ahiru pressed closer, leaning against his arms, not minding at all as the wind picked up, but definitely not all that happy that she had to chase their ducks to bring them back home again shortly after the wind picked up.
She hoped that they'd grow to love their new pond one day soon.
