"Quick! Retreat to the shrine!" The deep voice of Deadbones could barely be heard over the rain and sounds of monsters.

"Everyone back! All dwarves to-" he was shot down by a skeleton, and overcome by a spiderling.

"No! Deadbones! I want every dwarf into the shrine room now!" I yelled at the retreating dwarves. Deadbones wasn't just a friend, he was family. actual quote

I watched as the Weetigo bow was ripped from Pause's hands and he was taken down by a zombie. Guude was attempting to control the weather, but was interrupted by an Iron Golem.

That was when she came again. Vlaurunga. She roared and turned in the air, coming straight for me.

I faced a mouth full of flame and woke up drenched in sweat.

"Rob, are you okay?" Deadbones asked, looking worriedly into the room.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Go build the wall," I told him, feeling relieved that it was just another nightmare.

They say I was cursed by the gods, sent to live my last days over and over again until the end of time. Forced to watch my Heroes dying. Pause, Nisovin, the lovely Lady Kandemonia, Roamin, Deadbones, Guude, Baj, Etho, and even my own son, Lance.

I feel bad at times, knowing that even if I told them, they would not remember the next time I was forced to live through this hell again. And soon enough, I would get tired of telling them, or feel guilty of them knowing. But, secrets are never a good thing to keep...

I got out of the bed, sad to quickly loose the warmth to the cold stone around me. Dogekac. That is what this shrine was called, after the first few hundred times, I started naming them. This was one of my personal favorites, to Man-Mode on the bridge, as long as Pause or Guude were at my side.

I slid on the black and yellow wrist bands, slid the beloved sword Excaliju into it's sheath on my belt, and slinging Verandra over my back.

Grabbing the potion, arrows and cake, shoving them into my bag, I made my way out to start building the soon to fall walls around the place.

"Pause, get over here! It is a man mode round, you know what that means," Well, Pause is one of an exception, him and Deadbones, they know that I am stuck in this... What would you call it... Rewind sorta thing of a life. They, being good friends of mine, were also sent to join me after they defiled the gods shortly after me.

"Hell yeah! Lets go start reinforcing the bridge so we can last longer." Pause said and turned to leave.

I followed him, and started building, mortaring, and repeat. During the process I had to death stare a few daring souls, too daring for their own good.

"Rob... I hear... I hear Her!" Pause said, looking worried.

"Don't worry, we will take her down. C'mon Pause! No time to waste!" I said, pulling out the trusted bow and nocking an arrow. Taking aim and shooting at the red dragon.

"Jimmy No!" I cried as I watched a dwarf be picked up by the dragon and flung into the air. Instant death on impact with the ground. One more monster to defeat. Oh well, it was the fate of us all here, wasn't it?
