A/N: I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters!! Only in my dreams
lol. I do own the plot though. There isn't going to be any slash in this

don't have to read it you know.Happy Reading!
Chapter One: What's with Hermione?
Harry sat staring absent-mindedly out of the common room window. It was a clear and cool night in September, perfect for stargazing.
"What's wrong with you?" asked Ron, who was sitting next to him, writing his first Charms essay of the term. All of Harry's homework lay abandoned on the table, untouched and unfinished.
"N-nothing's wrong, I guess I'm just tired, that's all", muttered Harry, half-heartedly hoping that his answer would satisfy Ron, which it did.
A few moments later, Hermione burst into the common room. Only Harry and Ron were there though, because it was well past midnight. She looked really tired and stressed out, but she managed to flash them a smile. Ron sprang out of his chair and ran over to her.
"Where have you been?!" he yelled, sounding a little disagreeable, yet concerned at the same time.
"I was.umm.at the library!" she said, her bottom lip trembled slightly as she spoke. "I was writing an essay for Arithmancy, and I needed to use some books.".
In a mono-tonus voice, Harry asked her why she hadn't just checked out the books and brought them back to the common room.
"I didn't feel like it ok?!" she snapped, and she ran off to her dormitory.
"Sheesh, what the hell is wrong with her?" asked Ron, feeling slightly put- out.
Harry didn't answer him. Instead, he just went back to staring out the window, slipping back into his own little world.
A/N: So, what do you think so far? I know it's not really interesting yet, but I'm working on it. Write some reviews, the rest is coming soon!
