Forever and always
Two days after the battle
Ginny entered the gryffindor boy's dormitory and saw it was empty, except for one person, Harry Potter. She walked over to his bed and sat down on the edge of the bed, she leaded forward and brushed his hair off his forehead to reveal the lightening scar that was hidden beneath it and traced it with one of her slender fingers. Tears began to trickle down her cheek, she sat silently crying for a minuet or two then decided to leave and let Harry sleep, but just as she reached the door she felt a pair of strong arms slide around her waist and pull her back from the door.
"Stay with me?" Harry whispered in her ear, before letting her go and returning to his bed. Ginny stood silent for a few minuets then turned and made her way over to the bed where Harry was sitting. She sat on the bed opposite him gazing into his deep emerald eyes, not knowing what to say.
"I've missed you Gin" Harry said after a few minuets. Ginny just continued sitting there not knowing what to say, she was just happy to be with him and knowing that he was alive and safe.
"I…" she began to say, but she was cut off as Harry leaned forward and kissed her, pulling her closer to him. Ginny broke the kiss and wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head against his chest. At last she felt safe.
"I've missed you too, I thought about you every day while you were gone" she said in a small timid voice. Just then Mrs Weasley entered the dormitory.
"Harry dear are..." Mrs Weasley started to say, but then stopped herself when she saw Harry and Ginny just sat there holding each other, tears began trickling down her cheeks as she watched them.
"Molly have you seen Ginny? I can't find her anywhere", Mr Weasley said as he entered the dormitory. Mrs Weasley turned to him and pressed a finger to her lips before pointing to Harry and Ginny who were still holding each other. Mr Weasley smiled at them before taking his wife by the hand and leading her out of the dormitory and closing the door behind them.
"I think we should go down to the great hall and get something to eat" Harry said relinquishing his hold on Ginny, getting up and offering his hand to her.
"Your right I think we could both do with something to eat" she replied taking his hand. Together they walked down to the great hall their fingers entwined. Just before they reached the marble staircase Harry stopped and handed Ginny a small box.
"Open it, I brought it to give you on your birthday" he said. Ginny opened the box and gasped when she saw what was inside. It was a beautiful white gold heart shaped necklace with Harry and Ginny forever and always engraved on it.
"Harry it's beautiful, thank you" she said before kissing him gently on the lips and turning round so that he could but the necklace on her. She turned round and smiled as they continued towards the great hall their fingers entwined one more.
As they entered the great hall everyone fell silent. As soon as Harry and Ginny began to make their way across to the Weasley's everyone resumed their conversations and continued eating. When they reached table they sat down and began eating. As Ginny leaned forward Hermione saw the necklace glittering round Ginny's neck and let out a small involuntary squeal and pointed at the necklace.
"Are you two back together then?" Hermione whispered to Ginny.
"Looks like it!" Ginny said smiling brightly, before wrapping her arms round Harry's neck and kissing him, causing all the Weasley's and Hermione to stop eating and stare at them and Ron to spill pumpkin juice all over himself in shock.
