It was never going to be an ordinary day. And that was saying something, as almost every day was ordinary within the mighty walls and glistening structures that was the Kingdom of Anoria. But for one particular man, this day was going to be far from normal. The golden rays of the early morning sun stretched across his room and played upon the man's face as he slept. BANG, BANG, BANG! "Hey, you up yet, Reynor?" Yelled a muffled voice from behind the heavy wooden door. He stirred and opened his eyes. "Almost. You just interrupted a rather pleasant dream, you know?" he grumbled back with a humorous expression as he sat up and threw off the sheets. "Well, come on! I wasn't sent all the way up here to wait for you to get off your butt." The voice jokingly replied. He chuckled as he stood up, stretched, and made his way towards the furtherest end of the room to where his armour stood. He lifted it up and gazed at the king's crest, a intertwining serpent dragon, upon the front of the armoured set, then he placed it on with reverence. "Finally, I thought you'd never make it out!" The voice jokingly complained as Reynor opened the door. "Well, not all of us can afford to be an early riser now, can we Lord Jeffroy?" he replied, as he closed the door behind him and clasped the hand of his best friend. Jeffroy smirked back, smoothing out his rich clothing which made him stand out as a high Lord of the kingdom. He then turned around and walked back down the passageway, Reynor following. "What were you sent here for? Last time I saw you, you were looking after the village of Vesteros." Jeffroy glanced at Reynor. "Well, that's partly it. You see, I was sent here to find you" he replied with unease. "The king has summoned you, he can explain the situation better than I." Reynor looked at him in surprise, but seeing the look on his face, he said nothing. They finally came to the end of the grand hallway that lead to the king's quarters. As Reynor reached for the door, Jeffroy placed his hand on his shoulder to stop him. "I cannot accompany you inside, I'm afraid. My attention is required elsewhere at this time." He informed him as his eyes glanced back towards the way they had come. "Of course, I understand. I'll leave you to it my friend." Reynor reassured Jeffroy, clasping his shoulder, then he turned and entered the king's quarters. As the door closed behind him, Jeffroy abruptly turned and briskly walked back towards the exit.
