The sun shone through the crack in the curtains onto Molly's pillow. The glimmer of light was enough to wake her- bringing up seven children had drastically affected her ability to sleep heavily. She turned over to look at her husband, who was lying with his arm proper up, watching her.
"How long have you been watching me?" Molly said suspiciously.
"Well, seeing as I'm your husband and I have full access to you and your bed, I don't think you should be awfully worried how long. However," he added, "I was about to wake you up. Don't you think we should make the most of the kids being at school?"
"Arthur, it's only the first day without them. We've got the whole term to ourselves. I know what you're after, anyway. There is more to 'being together' than sex, you know."
Arthur groaned. He kissed Molly's head before letting his head collapse onto the pillow.
"But we've had a whole holiday full of other kinds of togetherness. Also, we're not really alone while we're here at Grimmauld Place. Remus, Tonks and Moody are due... erm... in about half an hour," he said, looking at the clock over Molly's shoulder.
"I never said I didn't want to," Molly whispered as Arthur moved closer. He lifted her nightie and ran his fingers along the contours of her body. His fingers worked their way across her chest, caressing her nipples. He'd done it so many times before but each time was filled with so much more excitement than the last. He moved down her body and pressed his thumb against her clit.
Her moans were almost his undoing, but he was patient as he pressed his hardness into Molly's thigh.
"Now... oh, fuck it, Arthur. Just do it," she whispered, her voice uneven.
He climbed on top of her and gently pushed into her. She whimpered and grasped the bedcovers as he thrust into her.
"Hello! Is there anybody in?" shouted a voice from downstairs.
Arthur panicked. Clearing his throat in an attempt to make his voice steadier, he called
"We'll be down in a minute!"
"Oh shit," he muttered to Molly. "Shall we go downstairs?"
She shook her head frantically, biting her lip.
"Shall we just set up the papers, then?" Remus asked, setting a briefcase on the kitchen table.
"We'll wait," Moody replied. He was about to do his instinctive 'check' of the house with his magic eye before being reprimanded by Tonks.
"Mad-Eye, we have just come into a house where a married couple were alone just a few minutes before, and you're going to wait for them and look upstairs? Can't you tell they're... busy?"
Remus turned his back on them to hide his smile.
"Why can't we wait?" Moody frowned, obviously unable to grasp what Tonks was trying to say.
"I am not going to even answer that."
"I don't see the prob- ohh right. Okay, yeah we'd better just get on."
Molly and Arthur had tried their hardest to look normal on entry to the kitchen, but no amount of makeup, hair brushing and deep breaths could hide the satisfied, blissful look in their eyes.
"Sorry about that," Arthur said. "We were just... cleaning," he added in a panic.
Tonks and Remus caught each other's eye and had to look away to stop their giggles.
"Cleaning? Yeah, this house needs a lot of it," Mad-Eye said, smiling politely.
Molly looked at Arthur, both of them clearly oblivious to their obviousness. They thought the smile they shared went unnoticed. They thought they'd got away with it. Only the others knew just how wrong they were...
