A/N: I saw other fics like this and decided to try my hand at this. Hopefully they're worth reading. Enjoy!

Kurt still wished on stars.
It was childish, and idiotic, and completely, pathetically superstitious, but when one is in love, one goes to drastic measures.
Even if that love is unrequited.
So, at night, Kurt looked up at the night sky and wished on a star that Finn would one day forget about Quinn and Rachel, as selfish as that request was, and see him. Realize he was there and that he loved him just as much, if not more, than they did.
The star he picked was always there for him, and though it had not helped him yet, he still wished on it. It was Finn's star. And one day, if he was patient and persistent, his wish might come true. Because Kurt was an optimist.
Love does that to you.

Quinn trusted him.
Yes, she was with Finn, and yes, this went against everything she believed in and everything she was, but for one night, damn it, Quinn Fabray was going to let go.
For one night, she was going to trust someone who wasn't herself. For one night, she was going to be something she wasn't. For one night, she wasn't going to be safe by staying with Finn.
For one night, she was going to be with Puck.
Even though they were best friends, Finn and Puck were complete opposites. And that night, the alcohol making her head fuzzy told her that was a good thing.
She trusted Puck and slept with Puck and became someone else.
And it came back and punched her in the face.
But Quinn reasoned with herself that that wasn't her who slept with Puck, it was whoever she was that night. And for that reason, she forgave herself. And Quinn Fabray was always in control.
And she wanted Finn to be the father. So he was.

Finn couldn't breathe.
He couldn't think, couldn't see, couldn't do anything.
He was just numb.
Quinn, his sweet, wonderful Quinn, had cheated on him. With his best friend.
And that fucking hurt.
She said she was drunk, but that's no excuse. He wasn't going to let her control him anymore. She had lied to him. And Finn Hudson hates being lied to.
And when Puck says that he was the one stupid enough to believe she could get pregnant from a hot tub, he loses it. Not because it's Puck, not because it's an insult.
Because he's right.
He's stupid, he's so stupid, and he hates it.
He shouldn't have been so blind, he should've known. He supposes he sort of did, he sees all of the signs.
Too late.

Puck changed when Quinn got pregnant.
She didn't see it. Sure he still did stupid shit like sexting Santana, but that didn't mean he didn't lov- like Quinn. He really did want to help Quinn and their baby. And he was a hell of a better father than Finn would ever be. Finn was too focused on Rachel. Puck, for all of his flings with others, only had eyes for Quinn.
Didn't she see that?
He would prove it to her. He was going to fight for what was his. His baby and his girl.
