Dreaming

AlwaysPadfoot

Luna was in a daze as she scrolled through Cho's latest updates on instagram.

The YouTube star lived a life of luxury that Luna craved, but not as much as she craved Cho. How could such a stunning, talented, beautiful woman not be Luna's? She scrolled through her page, ignoring the crowd of people all squished together on the bus, music playing loud in her ears. She was far too captivated by the beautiful pictures of the girl on her mobile screen to care about the foul-smelling man sat beside her or the group of girls laughing loudly at the back of her bus.

Another update popped up on Cho's profile and Luna gave a content sigh as she hurried to open it.

A picture popped up of Cho with a brown-haired guy outside a cinema. The caption underneath read: Awesome first date with MrCedD93. Such a sweet guy, so glad we're dating now. Note to self: Never judge a book by its movie. It was accompanied by several emojis and hashtags.

Luna felt her happiness slipping away. Cho had a boyfriend; that was impossible. There was no way Cho was straight. She and Luna were supposed to meet, fall in love, get married — live happily ever after. Always the outcast, Luna knew that Cho was destined to pull her in and never let her go. That meant she wasn't supposed to be with this MrCedD93; Cho and Luna were soulmates.

Her fingers furiously tapping against the screen, Luna took to her tumblr to vent her angry feelings, nearly missing her stop she was so involved in her phone.

Once at home she decided the best thing to do would to run a bath. Luna couldn't blame Cho for believing she was straight; the world was so heteronormative still. She sunk into the sparkly purple water, comforted by the warmth and the smell of lavender emanating from around her. Closing her eyes, Luna took a long calming breath and flicked her phone to video. She framed herself in the screen, a rubber duck bobbing by her shoulder, and hit record.

"I've fallen under your spell," Luna began, a smile on her face. "That's the long and short of this video. Don't try to fight this feeling; I love you anyway. It may be confusing now, but you'll come to understand. One day, we'll be together."
