A shorthaired boy swung his legs back and forth over the edge of his porch, watching with wide brown eyes a firefly.
The small bug buzzed past him, lighting up a small patch of summer night.
The young boy reached out a hand, as if to capture the insect. He hesitated, then let his arm fall back to his side and watched the firefly buzz away into the night.
The boy swung his legs back and forth, humming along happily with the music playing on his orange headphones.
A gentle wind picked up, playing the trailing sleeves of his white yukata. The boy smiled and slid off the edge of the porch, stumbling into the grass. The grass swayed with the wind and tickled his knees.
The brunette laughed and threw his hands out, spinning and leaping through the grass. He tossed his head back to gaze into the star-studded sky, large eyes reflecting the diamond studs they were.
The sky seemed to spin with him, dancing and laughing as wind blew his brown tresses this way and that.
He closed his eyes and kept turning round and round, enjoying the feeling of summer against his skin.
"Otouto? What are you doing?" A voice broke through the imaginary song playing through the boy's head. He stopped and turned towards the house, smiling at the older boy standing there.
The other boy had long brown hair and identical brown orbs, filled with amusement.
"Dancing." He laughed to his older brother, holding out a hand as invitation.
The older of the two nodded and leaped off the porch, making his way to his brother.
The two joined hands, smiling at each other's touch.
And so they danced. The two brothers, under the stars and into the night.

Joh: That was incredibly short. Just goes to show that I cannot write fluff. And when I do it is disgustingly short. Actually that's good for all of you. If it was longer you'd have to suffer through more of my hideous fluff-ness.
Jessie: It's not that bad imouto.
Joh: -Hugs- you're too kind! -Tears-
Jessie: There, there.
Review please.
