Way out of myself
Why don't they understand me,
All they see is a girl,
Maybe not even a girl,
Just a person,
Who uses her mind wisely
They don't understand how it feels to be me,
The pressure,
To always be right,
Even when it's easier to be wrong,
I am not strong enough,
To be able to bear it,
All the stares,
And the glares,
So that's why I remain with my "friends"
When I'm with them,
I'm needed,
I'm above,
But when I'm with everyone else,
Down with the mud,
That's in my blood,
Eating away my confidence
My "friends" don't even understand me,
All they see is a brain,
Besides that,
They have no gain,
In being acquainted with a pain,
I need to be right,
Because if I'm wrong,
I will feel the blame,
And the wrath,
Of those who can't do math,
Arithmacy, for the matter,
Or much else,
So they depend on me,
Because they are too occupied in their own lives
Though they cannot see it,
The real inside of me,
There is one,
Who can,
One who you may not understand why,
It is he,
The one whose eyes are dark, stormy gray,
His blond hair always glistening,
Draco Malfoy,
The Slytherin Prince
Though he may be the most handsome outside,
He is the most beautiful inside, too
He masks his feelings,
Because he knows,
That no one will understand him,
No matter how long they have known him,
Or claimed to have known him
Only I, Hermione Granger,
Truly see his heart,
His soul
Though he is a Slytherin serpent,
And I a Gryffindor lioness,
We are alike in so many ways,
Yet different in others
Though his blood is purely magical,
And mine is vile muggle,
We can relate,
Our "friends" just fake it,
To know the real us
Now, we are the only ones,
The only ones who are so different
But so alike
You may say its betrayal,
But to me,
It's a way out,
You may say it can't be true,
"He's too good for you,"
But he isn't you see,
That's why it makes me feel,
Like I can be real around him
He treats me as if I am superior,
Or at least his equal,
He treats me as if,
I am not all brains,
No heart
As I am a girl,
Who wasn't understood from the start
Sure,
I like books,
But only because,
I can get away from… me,
Indulge and occupy my brain in other things,
Adventures, mysteries, diaries,
Anything I can get my hands on,
So I don't have to think about the people,
Who don't understand me
Yet I shouldn't think about that,
Now I need my love,
My lust,
My desire,
To put his lips on mine,
And take me away from the real world,
And into my dream world,
He is my way out of myself,
He is the one who dares,
To care and be…
My way out of myself
