I wrote this on spur of the moment so it's not very good, probably gonna be a oneshot.
Disclaimer: I don't own +Anima.
Part I: Before the Bear.
"Hey Mama wat'cha doing?" I asked. Mama glanced slightly in my direction and then went back to her work.
"Making dinner," she responded.
"Hmmm, can I help?"
"Sure Senri," Mama said smiling at me. "You can peel potatoes, I showed you how to a week ago remember?"
I nod, it was fun, the potato peeler in my hand, sharp enough to pierce the vegetable's skin, all shinny and silver, with the wood of the handle having a slightly course texture. It wasn't a real weapon, but close enough, since Papa wouldn't let me have a real weapon yet.
I watched the skin curl as it was removed, revealing the smooth white flesh that tasted good boiled in honey water.
"Mama are you gonna boil the potatoes in honey water?" I asked. Mama smiled at me.
"No Senri, honey is scarce this season," she responded. "The potatoes will be added to the soup with some carrots and wild roots."
"Mhm, that's good too," I said, and continued peeling.
"Mama, do you think I will have a great bear anima like Papa and Upas do?" I asked when I was on the last potato.
"I think so," said Mama smiling. I grinned.
"Okay, but Papa still won't let me go up to the mountain with them." Mama patted my head.
"Don't pout Senri, after all you're not even in your 6th winter yet," she said with a slight smile.
"Hey Mama… I'm hungry," I said after peeling the last potato.
Mama laughed, and then I realized every time Mama answered me she was smiling.
What was so funny? I wondered to myself.
Part II: After the Bear, Before the Memories
It was very odd. They barely talked to me, no one ever talked to me. They would ignore me or give me basic commands, come, eat, go, help. That one word was a problem though… help. What did they want me to do? The look they had in their eyes… it felt… cold? Well some of it was, but others would just look at me like their eyes… uncomfortable. Like the woman that paid me a little more attention then the others. She was the one that gave me most of the commands. Her eyes, they looked uncomfortable… but also sad.
I had to keep the eye-patch on, something in my head told me that… someone told me that, I remember. I remember, that was the only thing I could, the only thing that did not escape my mind. Everything else… it was so passive. Those figures that were always near by… so passive. Something wasn't though. When I looked up something would hit me eye. When I looked around, other things hit my eye. They were always there… like the little things that sprouted up from the surface where I was standing in some places. I had a feeling that I shouldn't hurt those things… they appealed to me. When I looked up it would be a bright color, and I would get lower to be able to see those things better, then it would become hard to see them, and I would look up. It was darker up there. Around me it felt so empty and I would wonder… why?
good or bad I like reveiws!!
