"Ratchet?" Ratchet turned to see Sasha standing next to the Terachnoid ambassador with what looked to be a document.

"Hey! How's things been as Mayor of... Metropolis?" Ratchet's smile quickly faded as he saw the glitter on Sasha's left ring finger. A wedding ring. The Terachnoid went on his way as soon as he saw the signs of a personal conversation.

"Well... I got married." Sasha stated uncomfortably as she saw Ratchet's expression.

"Does he treat you right?"

"Yeah... I don't know where I'd be without him." Ratchet's tail gave a small flicker as he remembered how he left Kerwan due to Tachyon's actions and he hasn't seen Sasha since the Artemis event. That was nearly three years as of this day.

"I'm sorry." Ratchet said as he calmly turned around.

"For what?"

"For not getting in contact with you as soon as I could have when I first got to Polaris."

"Ratchet, you had no control over Tachyon. In all reality, I'm sorry. I should have waited for you."

"It's too late... I moved on too."

Sasha's ears folded back as Ratchet admitted to the same action that she did.

"How does she treat you?"

"Like I'm the last Lombax in the universe... And like a big fluffy kitten."

"As a kitten in a mean way or a romantic way?"

"The latter."

"Sasha! Babe, who's- Hey! You're Ratchet aren't you?" Ratchet turned around as a male Cazar walked up to his wife and the Lombax.

"Ah, Ratchet. Meet Vermilion." Sasha nearly went cardboard as she introduced her husband to her old ex-boyfriend.

"It's an honor to meet you, Ratchet." The Cazar held his hand out for a handshake as he smiled to the Lombax.

"Honor's all mine." Ratchet fake smiled as the handshake felt like his shoulder was going to be pulled out of his body.

"Well... I've got a meeting to attend to, I wish we could talk some more to get to know one another." Vermilion gave a polite nod as he walked away with a regretful Sasha looking back at the broken hearted Lombax.

"Bye..." Ratchet mumbled back as yet another love interest was taken away from him.

This could have been better... Or worse... Yeah, this could have been worse.
