Disclaimer: Don't sue me I don't own anything
Morning Light
By: Ginny McCartney
Nobody saw me
And nobody cared
I was never looked at
Only caught in strange stares
Only thought of as a little sister
Never taken seriously
Never remembered for anything
Except for following Tom deliriously
Then I met you
And you changed my life
We were both so happy
I never thought about a knife
You looked at me like no one ever has
We were in love
And it always seemed to me
That you were sent from above
But now I know better
And admit my mistake
You never loved me
And it was more than I could take
I loved you
And you betrayed me
You suddenly told me one night
We just aren't meant to be
You made me so many promises
That never came true
And now everything's back to the way it use to be
Once again I just have to make do
But I can't
It's worse then before
No one ever looks at me
And I can't take much more
My grades are falling
I never sleep
Everyone ignores me
It's enough to make anyone weep
Even my family ignores me
Mum's too preoccupied with the boys
Dad's always at work
I never got to experience the smallest family joys
I've tried talking to everyone
But no one will listen
They all think I'm lying
I might as well be a Parseltounge hissing
When I try to talk to anyone
It always ends in a fight
They think all I want it attention
But the problem isn't that light
I had what I always wanted once
To be loved by someone
But I'm sick of being upset over my life
That's it, I'm done
I'm stopping this tonight
I've fought my last fight
I'm sure no one will miss me
Come morning light. . .
