A\N: Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful time with your family!
Peridot flipped in her covers, mumbling under her breath. It was pretty cold that night. Making Peridot shiver at times, flip over and over, and curse everytime the heat in the blanket wasn't enough.
Peridot tugged the blanket closer. She growled as the coldness consumed her. Peridot got up and grumbled. She doesn't even need sleep, so why is she even trying? She could just watch Steven sleep.
The green gem kicked the blanket away. Peridot mumbled as it got cold, she reached back to the blanket and covered herself with it again. She sighed.
"Ugh. I can't believe these clods just leave me out here." Peridot mumbled. "They're all clods. Stupid clods." Peridot growled, flipping side to side.
"Clods, clods, clods. Is that really all you say?" Peridot jumped up. In front of her was Lapis, who looked more jolly than Peridot. Lapis was still wearing her Christmas sweater.
"Don't you have anything better to do than annoy me." Peridot hissed.
"Not really," Lapis shrugged. "Steven is asleep, so there's really nothing I could do until the morning."
"Well, can't you just go somewhere else?" Peridot asked, a little more politely. Lapis shook her head. "There's really nowhere I can go. Plus, I wanna talk to someone." Lapis said.
"I'm not really a gem that likes to social." Peridot reminded her. "Yeah, I know..." Lapis looked the other way. "I just... wanna see how you're doing after the kiss." Peridot blushed at Lapis' statement.
"I'm doing fine." Peridot said, flustered. Lapis rubbed the back of her head. "That's good to know." She plainly said. Like as if she still wanted the conversation to go on. Peridot looked down at her blanket.
"You cold?" Lapis asked, sitting down on the couch. Peridot hesitated to tell the blue gem. "...Maybe.." Came the reply from Peridot. Lapis fidgeting a bit.
"Same... I was talking to Steven and he told me that the weather in December is really cold." Lapis told her. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I already know that." Peridot snorted.
"Sorry." Lapis said. Silence was left in the room. No noises at all. The snow covered everything outside. The window was too foggy to look at also.
"Are you cold?" Peridot broke the silence. Lapis nodded, "Yeah. This sweater doesn't really keep me that warm." She admitted. Peridot's cheeks heated up to a leafy green.
"We can cuddle, if you want?" Peridot murmured, though Lapis heard it. Her cheeks became a deep blue. "S-Sure." Lapis stuttered. She scooted next to Peridot and laid on her lap. Peridot stroked her hair, biting her lip. She covered the both of them with her blanket.
Lapis pressed her body against Peridot, feeling a bit warm. Peridot also felt a little warmer than before. She leaned down and gave the blue gem a kiss on the cheek.
"Are you warm?" Peridot asked, wrapping her arms around Lapis. "Yeah... Are you?" She asked. Peridot nodded. "Yeah." The green gem replied. The two laid there, loving each other's company. Soon, they fell asleep.
