So, my first Star Wars fanfiction in like a year, or two, I don't remember. The point is it's been a long time LOL. I do not own Star Wars or it's content, but Asaada Zadira and A'leth Rix, and a few other characters in the future are mine.

I know it's kind of short, but its a prologue, and my prologues are generally really short, so don't expect all chapters to be this way. Tales of a Jedi

Prologue

Ahsoka ran through the streets of Coruscant, not even having a destination. She just ran. Not long after she had said goodbye to her master and the Jedi Order, it had begun to rain. The day just had to get worse, didn't it?

She was starting to feel fatigue, but she ignored it. She wasn't sure how long she'd been running, or exactly how far she'd gotten. Maybe if she kept running she'd forget the emotional pain she'd felt when she'd dropped that silka bead braid into Anakin's hand.

Suddenly she collided with something, well someone. She hadn't even seen them before she'd hit them. The two of them fell to the wet ground, and Ahsoka then became aware of whom she'd hit. It was a woman who appeared to be around twenty, give or take a few years, clad all in black. Her dripping red hair dangled in front of her face beneath her hood.

"Damn it!" she shouted as she stood up, trying to set her cloak correctly, "Now I've lost my target. I suggest you watch where you're going, Jedi."

"I'm not a Jedi." Ahsoka replied, not moving from her position on the ground.

"Sure you aren't." The woman said as she knelt down to retrieve her blaster that had apparently fallen to the ground when they'd hit eachother. She put it back in its holster, which gave Ahsoka a short glimpse of what looked like a Lightsaber attached to her belt.

"Who are you?" Ahsoka asked before standing up. She became suddenly aware of the height difference between them, herself being the shorter. Shorter by a long way, "You're a bounty hunter, I can tell that much."

"Doesn't matter who I am. I didn't recognize you before but now I do. You're that Jedi, the one accused of bombing the Jedi Temple. You know who I'm hunting personally. You'll know my name. Eventually." And with that, she was gone. Ahsoka would have stopped her had she not completely frozen where she stood.

You know who I'm hunting personally. The words echoed through her head.

Who could she have meant?

-A year earlier-

"Asaada, are you even listening to me?" A'leth asked her friend, who seemed to have a deep interest in the wall. She snapped her fingers in front of Asaada's face which brought her out of her stupor.

"Did you say something?" she asked.

"Asaada, I know you'd much rather be out in the field, but being a Jedi involves more than just swinging your Lightsaber around."

"You're right. It involves swinging your Lightsaber around with finesse." Asaada said as she tightened the hairband securing her red locks.

"We're seventeen, Asaada. Our promotion to Jedi Knight could happen any time. But, if you're not prepared, it won't happen at all." A'leth said, her tone full of concern.

"It's not going to happen even if I was prepared, A'leth," Asaada replied and she stood up from her bed. "You've met my master. She's overprotective, she won't let me do a thing on my own. I don't think she's about to let me take the trials, she's too attached."

"Alright, I will admit she's a bit clingy, but you can't possibly believe she's going to keep you as her Padawan forever, do you?"

"I'd say it's a strong possibility."
