Prologue
Nothing ever changes at Hogwarts. She been gone two years and nothing had changed. So she put a couple of poisonous frogs in the headmaster's cup. Yeah, maybe they were still live. So what? It was just a prank. Expulsion seams a little extreme. Oh well. She's back and ready to get what she came for: Harry Potter.
The way his eyes twinkled when was happy was adorable. She could look at them all day. She had never really talked to him, but that didn't matter. She knew everything about him.
She could still remember the first time she saw him. It was first year and he was having an argument with that ugly blonde slytherin boy. It was so adorable. The way his eyebrows furrowed and he squinted his eyes made her swoon.
"Miss Stark."
She could faintly hear some words in the back her head, but she wasn't listening to them. All she wanted to think about was harry.
PENELOPE STARK!"
She jerked her head up. How long had she been daydreaming? "Yes," she squeaked. Her eyes slowly focused after being closed so long. There, standing before her, was Professor Snape. Shit!
"You have something to give me?" he asked coolly.
"Uh…" Her cheeks were growing warm. She could faintly remember Professor Dumbledore telling her to give something to someone, but she wasn't really listening. She was too busy checking which classes she had with Harry, which only led to disappointment. One. Not four, not three, not even two, but one. And it wasn't even a good one. It was that stupid class about creatures and it was taught by that oaf, Hagrid.
"A note perhaps?" he hissed, eyes cold. It was funny how one letter in his name determined whether or not he was a snake.
She had a faint memory of a note. "Oh yes! The note!" she dug in her pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper.
"I'll take that" he growled, snatching it from her hands and stuffing it in his robe pocket. She looked around, cheeks reddening. Everyone was staring at her. Does life get anymore embarrassing? They'll see. When she and Harry get married they'll all regret ever doubting her purpose in the magic world.
