Goku goes to White Tower

A Dragon Ball fanfiction by Conor Scanlan

In the final hour of the day the sun began to set next to White Tower, making its final, gradual dive below the horizon as a small boy sped towards the glistening tower, riding on what appeared to be a cloud. The boy was Goku, continuing his journey to train for the

upcoming 22nd World Martial Arts tournament in 3 years. Having already defeated the twin evils of Terror and Plague in Chao village, proven himself in the Master of Martial arts contest against Sky Dragon, tamed the unruly Inoshikacho, and even braved the Demon

Land against the mighty King Shula, Goku's strengths have reached unparalleled heights, but will they be enough for the challenges to come?

"Aaargh!" the scream of a girl rang out from the uppermost floor of White Tower below. In a short moment Goku had his power pole out, balancing himself in a flying stance.

"Fly, Nimbus!" he yelled, the cloud making a rapid descent towards the top of the pointed tower. Rushing closer Goku saw what he was hoping for, a large window, but closed. Goku hefted the pole and leapt off the Nimbus cloud, crashing through the

closed glass window head-first, the broken shards of glass bursting inwards.

Goku rolled to his feet and glanced around the room, power pole at the ready, but nothing crept in the darkness but shadows.

"Darn it, I was too late" he muttered to himself, frowning. "I'm sure the scream came from in here, I couldn't have imagined it."

The room was so big, with a four poster bed, several chests of draws and a grandiose dressing cabinet in the corner, now obscured by shadows. Goku had a look in the draws, but there were only clothes inside. Does anyone

really need that many clothes, he thought to himself, scratching his torn garments absent-mindedly. Then he remembered Bulma.

"Oh yeah, of course" he said, smiling to himself. But this wasn't a time to be thinking about anything like that. There was a

girl in this room only minutes before, and whoever took her couldn't have gotten far; they'd have to still be in the tower.

"I have to hurry then." Goku slid the power pole back into its slot, spotted the door leading down despite the gloom, opened it with

a click and began sprinting down the spiral staircase beyond. The walls were stone and for the most part covered in a green, icky moss, with torches periodically set about every 15 steps down. Hunching and down and being careful not trip, Goku

accelerated down the stairs. If he was going to catch up he'd have to run fast. He just knew that whoever or whatever had taken that girl was in danger, and he might be the only one who could stop it.

Will Goku make it in time to help? Who is the mysterious girl? And more importantly, who or what has taken her, and why?

These questions and more answered in the next exciting installment of 'Goku Goes to White Tower'.
